if i buy the dlc on denpasoft can i use it for the steam version of the game?

yes... it just works. All the other 18+dlcs are in steam for the other games, nekopara vol 4 is "special".

i just decided to get it from a different source alltogether so i didnt have to pay another time for something i could easily get for free. but the game itself i would buy any day without hesitation lol. love Nekopara to death!

I downloaded the files from Denpasoft onto a steam deck and I can't seem to get the patch to work just by putting the two files with the nekopara vol 4 game files. Do you have to put it somewhere specific or the both of them in different files?

Have you tried running the installer that comes in the folder "the exe file'? Try moving the 'vol4adult.xp3' and the 'exe' file into the game's main folder, then try running the patch installer and see if that works.
