Weird bug or not?

I had a run with moons and wolfs and at the end I basically had only moons and a couple wolfs. Since I wasn't getting much further I decided to use the next midas bomb I got.

However when I used it the game started lagging slightly and the moons turned into cheese. Is there some item or combination of such that would make a midas bomb turn the symbols destroyed into other things? I was kinda distracted by this so I didn't even see how much I got.

Moons turn into three pieces of cheese if destroyed. It's in the description if you hover over them, but easy to forget.
