Dedicated servers would improve the connectivity for all users based on their location to the server, as opposed to everyone in the lobby being reliant on and affected by one player with the best connection with peer-to-peer. But I think your concern is with cheaters, and with that, having moderators to identify and ban cheaters is the effective route.

Having a dedicated server alone would still easily allow cheaters...nearly all current FPS games with dedicated servers suffer from cheaters. Forknife is a big one but they still have live issues. It's only when players report and moderators ban the account that reduces them. So it's just not only dedicated servers but the whole system with moderators. Future Ai moderation 😊

Aye, but it feels like moderating peer-to-peer connections is all but impossible. o_O
At least with dedicated servers they'd be able to moderate them (but yes. . . that would also require Roackstar/Take-Two to ACTUALLY have some kind of moderation in place. XD)

Moderators in the same lobby can see who is cheating 😊 There just isn't enough moderators compared to the number of new cheaters...

Dedicated servers would have more simple types of cheats like aimbots an speed cheats and would create a barrier against others exploits, so it's no doubt better.
