Will RDO ever get any new update or is this just it?

GTA V is drowned in updates and stuff and RDO gets no love what so ever :(

People spent so much money on GTAV, but not on RDO. Rockstar invests in GTAV over RDO because of that.

And this comes from somebody that purchased the game TWICE...

Rockstar has pretty much "sunset" this game.

RDO will continue to get monthly catalog discounts, XP/Money/Gold Bonuses, and recurring Holiday Events, but it's extremely unlikely to receive any meaningful new content - Rockstar has shifted their devs focus to GTA6.

Sadly, this game has been abandoned. :(

Sadly, this is pretty much correct. :(

The "Call to Arms" game mode (co-op wave-survival) was the last meaningful update added to the game - and that was back in August 2021.

Since then I think a few forgettable telegram missions have been added but that's really it. The game's been slowly coasting towards irrelevancy ever since, and it's looking less-and-less likely that Rockstar/Take-Two are ever going to return to this title.

Honestly, if they could somehow mitigate cheating and add proximity-text-chat this would instantly become my #1 favorite online game. Instead, I haven't touched it in over a year. :/

Red Dead Online is a squandered-opportunity and a disappointing waste of potential.
Here's hoping Rockstar/Take-Two don't completely "drop-the-ball" in GTA 6.

Also, for he love of the community, please RERELEASE the old Outlaw/Quickdraw passes Rockstar. It would give the newer players SOMETHING to be excited about. [/rant]

Not really, rock star released a bare bones online mode, then cried foul when it wasnt as popular.

Very similar to how they constantly refuse to keep PC versions of their games up to date or polished.. then cry that they cant do those things because PC isnt as popular as the console release lol.
