What happens when a online player kills you
Hi I have just downloaded the game and I am wondering what online players get from you when they kill you. Do they take good bars and other stuff.

well this happens very rarely as some just go about there money making in peace and 99% of the times player leave each other alone or work together, This is the biggest finger to R* the player base can give as R* want players to kill each other to up there sales but this has had the reverse effect as the majority of players give R* the finger and work together or let other players be.

and a +1 on their 'players killed' stats.
Depends on what you're doing at the time really. Doing a Offensive Free Roam mission and a player butts in to mess you up. They are actually gonna get rewarded for it for messing up your mission. If you're not doing anything but say hunting, finishing or just going to another place and so on. They got nothing expect well one thing. Their blue dot turning increasingly red allowing them to be seen farther away by you and other players to warn you and other players that said player is pretty much going to kill you on sight for no reason at all.

Actually they can Take your goods/kills from your hunting trip including Legendary Kills as well as other Game they can take your Goods from a trader long distance run as well.

If you're smart about it with it comes to Legendary Animals. You can hide the body in your hunting wagon or tell your horse to flee with the body on the back of the horse which will then despawn your horse while keeping the body stored on one's horse. Then all you need to do is just steal an horse from an NPC on the road and go to Cripps or Gus to sell the body.

That is a work around...but generally you don't have the chance to do that...had to fight and kill the guy then parlay to keep my Legendary ...the Traders long Distance you can change sessions to Not Lose your goods but I haven't done that and only been attacked 2 Times since buying the game in December

In my 120 hours with a lot spent on hunting I've only had that happen once to me and that was a hacker anyway that I got rid of by switching sessions. Generally people will leave you alone even if you're doing long distance trading or even if you've got a legendary pelt on your horse. There are tricks to mitigate it but honestly it's such a non issue that you might as well immerse yourself and lose your stuff once every year, rather than creating empty sessions.

Yeah I don't have any issues was just letting the OP know that it can happen... I've got a lot of time in game myself and play US West coast and really never had a issue other than the couple of times I mentioned

Damn that's some mad stockholm syndrome if i ever did see it typed. Another feller on here attested to "taking one for the team" too, some strange bluepill mentality that one legit player in a session means one less modder to worry about, that solo is selfish and that there is no "I", there is only "we" kekw

So if i live on an impoverished / run down neighbourhood, i should expect to get robbed at knifepoint every year right? Lmao trickles of communism creeping into gaming lately lol

The worst thing that can happen is you lose a trader wagon full of goods, or you lose a moonshiner wagon full of drinks.

Both of these scenarios suck (because they prevent you from earning money), but they’re not the end of the world. :/

Otherwise, there’s no penalty to dying to another player.

If you ‘Parley’ with that player you’ll be immune to receiving damage from them for 10 minutes, but you’ll also be spawned-in a mile away from where you died, which is super annoying. Rockstar makes some questionable game design choices at times. :P

While delivering moonshine you're invulnerable from other players

Yea Rockstar patched it in either January or February of this year iirc. You used to be a sitting duck while delivering moonshine but they've made players delivering it invulnerable to any sources of damage except damage caused by npcs.

Pride, they only get pride. I'm like Tombstone the movie ( I recommend it) if i gotta kill I kill but I dont like no grifer or however you write it lol... me and my posse shoot out of the lobby grifers.

So sad as they make games for people to shoot one another but some choose to ruin some one else's enjoyment of playing a game not designed to be that. The result is I don't spend any more money with developers who allow it.
