Yeah, I was just going to bring that up as it confused a friend with only RDO to why he couldn't find that option. Needless to say, he's sad he can't use the workaround. Good thing I paid for the entire game. lol

Will this work for people who are getting lag in the game itself and in story mode (i.e., not just when alt+tabbing out of the game to other applications)?

it seems like it has been fixed, I guess they did some sort of background update
EDIT: Nevermind.. the issue is back for me, But i was able to even restart the game 5 times with no keyboard input delay. wierd....

you do NOT have to run the benchmark as a work-around; simply load into the actual game world for first time that session, so that could mean Benchmark, Story Mode or Online Mode; once in the game world, press ESC > Story > Quit; to go back to main menu. Now the Keyboard and FPS Lag issues are gone, for that session.

I have the complete game, but I'm able to benchmark to overcome the lag. Some of our mic-less players only have the standalone version and have a hell of a time game texting.

I have zero response, asides from the initial reply bot stating it will be two days for a response (more like a week now), from Rstar from the ticket. I think I'm going to register yet another complaint for GTA5 due to the same lag issue.

This worked for me. Even when I alt-tab out of game. I submitted ticket.
