Cheaters everywhere
Cheaters everywhere. I entered the game after a few months of being on the cough. And there are still cheaters in the game. It seems that there is no hope for this game.

Yes, you absolut right sadly.

Sadly, RDO on PC is just a playground for cheaters. :(

Public sessions are an absolute joke. Rockstar/Take-Two should be ashamed of the current state the game is in. :/

On PC you really need to play in private sessions.
The experience is much better on console where cheating isn't a problem.

I wish Rockstar/Take-Two would meaningfully address the cheating problem on PC, but it appears that's never going to happen.

Yep, that's why I don't play it anymore. :/

If Rockstar/Take-Two ever addressed the cheating problem in a meaningful way I'd hop back online in a heartbeat! But in it's current state? It's pretty much unplayable. :/

every time i join a public server i encounter a cheater, but most of the time these cheaters rolplay and give low levels loot i have more positive encounters with cheaters then negative and if i find a cheater with bad intentions like cursing my horse i just back out and play sum different :steamhappy:

Carful how much low-level-loot you accept from cheaters.

Cheated items appear to be one of the few kinds of cheats Rockstar can actually detect, and if your account is found to have acquired too many cheated items it runs the very really risk of getting "flagged" and banned during the next ban wave.

If you see a cheaters, don't engage with them. Switch sessions or just play something else. :/

it's so sad. This game has so much good going for it and when I do have a good session, it's euphoric. But it's impossible to play anymore without private session work. Rockstar seems to have deemed it abandonware and it's a sorry state.

Their goal isn't to "cheat", rather mod the game that's otherwise very boring. There's very little online content and people have resorted to using mods in games when games die for years. Your image shows them just chilling, like most people. For gold, they haven't banned for that since they had innocent players burdening their support in 2021 (when IGN put out an article about it.) If you have modders in your session - just change session from the ESC menu.

Then the next time you see a cheater spawning in gold/money chests, I encourage you to grab ALL the money and gold you want. ;)

What's the worst that could happen? Apparently I'm full of crap. XD

And if you don't get banned immediately, That's great! It MUST mean I was completely wrong!. :D

It certainly doesn't mean Rockstar doesn't issue bans immediately, and instead flag accounts with cheated-currency to get banned during the next ban wave. But don't worry, ban-waves are pretty infrequent, so you'd have a couple of months to enjoy the cheated funds. :)

. . .

Or maybe you should just avoid taking anything from cheaters. :/

you can simply change session and stop crying. /shrug

I have almost 5,000 hours (on one account) in RDO with no issue, my friend. ":)" that's years. ":D"

I would've filed for a refund ages ago if it wasn't for the Lobby Manager!
J Jul 1, 2024 @ 4:09pm
their 'solution' seems to just be limiting how many players can be "matchmade" per session which is quite adverse to player interaction. Just because a few nit-picky individuals like yourselves make a big deal about non-toxic modders (in other words, making something out of nothing, a big problem these days). they did this in 2021 too. they had limited average lobby count to 11 before migrating them to a new lobby. only recently they raised it to roughly 22 players per session. and now you're here to complain about something that's not even bothering or impacting you? lol. just change session.

The game is designed peer to peer, Rockstar developed it this way and they knew what they were doing. You call quitting a "solution"? That tells me all I need to know about you, /thread
