why are all the RedM servers garbage?
every single one of them i tried, either its power abusing staff, very intolerant players or things that just ruin immersion and fun like having a GTAO like inflated economy or having the economy be very unrealistically grindy (example 1 horse 90$, 12 revolver bullets 5$)

it feels like this game never got any MP experince it deserves even from fans, just one dissappointment after another

I always find private servers to be a little weird. They come with their own set of rules and tend to be a little cliquey. A new player comes along, they can be very standoffish and i have seen players minding their own business get chased off servers or abused by the mods as they didn't fit their grouping. Its the same with Conan Exiles, choosing between public and private. I remember finding a server that i liked and set up, all was going well. After a few days i got talking to a girl that lived close to my build. We hit it off from a friendly point of view. Little did i know, the mod was listening to our conversations. The mod didn't like that i was getting on so well with her that he inspected my building and found that there were faults with it and demolished it and asked me to build elsewhere. So i built again and he demolished it again. He then proceeded to tell others that i was a trouble maker. I met with the others and they liked me and it somewhat backfired on him. But i have seen other players come into these servers and are met with instant hostility from the overall clique. Kinda sad really.

it's just a shame that RedM is usually worse than this because there is no other game like RDR2 but what RDR2 has got in the MP department just doesn't satisfy anyone really, basegame RDO is abandoned and in a sad state, RedM is a heavy step back in terms of quality and immersion but you at least have an experince there if you can find it just that experince is kinda gone by now, RedM had a huge decline in player numbers because all the servers keep doing the same things that make players just quit

R*s gameplay style lends itself well to RP but the communities the games have for said RP are horrible and if you don't want to play the basegame online mode for the sake of grinding then you might as well not play it at all

Hey everyone! Finally got our Server nearing completion and figured it's time to advertise, We should be going live in the next day or so.

1866 is a server we designed for the part of the community that's looking for a less rule-driven and more realistic approach to RedM, it's a server that takes place in post-Civil War America. It's a full loot server with a lot of features, we've spent well over $1400 in high-quality scripts, spent about the same amount in hours spent coding, and added over 50,000 lines of Code. So if you're looking for a server where you don't have to walk on Eggshells with rules, you're serious about Roleplay, and interested in navigating and exploring the complexities of a realistic gameplay loop of America in 1866 we welcome you to come join us.

Come check out our Server, we want to avoid all the Rules and weirdness and allow players to govern themselves so long as they keep things in game. I love RedM but hate the crazy Rules so we spent a good amount of money and time to build our own unique server for people to just come have fun. Check us out! I posted the link to our YouTube video and Discord above
Unfortunately that's a thing with ANY Role Play community is the cliques, it's the same as just any normal gamers. RedM like FiveM you have and always will have Grinders and screws the economy, it's sad really. No one wants exact realism because they want to be able to build that money up fast.
I keep debating trying my hand at a server again, all I want is a server with only 28 or 32 pop just to do my own thing and add w hat i want and do my own thing. You get too many RDO players coming to RP servers and treating greifing as RP. Everyone wants to be a criminal and hit solo players
IDK, sounds like you are wanting more PVP MP, rather than role play. But I do agree that many servers, RP in general are very clique-y. And now that so many FiveM ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and ♥♥♥♥ devs are moving to RedM, its getting worse. But(shameless plug) My wife and I, after years of ♥♥♥♥ servers, made our own. If you want to get in on the ground floor of helping mold a server into something, let me know. We are just opening so we have pretty much no pop, and arent in a huge rush to open and put out a half ass server like many of what you will find. Dont care what you do, as long as its within the rules and helps provide others with story. We feel we found a decent balance between grind and relaxed with our economy and are continuing to add to our script collection.

But back to what you were saying. RedM might not be your cup of tea anymore. And that is perfectly ok. Do what makes you happy in the end.

Onyx county mods pulled me up after I'd been playing and minding my own business for weeks for having the name 'Casey Dutton, similar to the character in yellowstone 'Kayce Dutton.
I went through the most recent convos in discord and checked through some names. I found so many that were copied. Letter for letter from famous people. Actors, artists. Sports personalities etc that I stopped at 30. I even found two moderators that had famous names!
Mine sonded the same but at least I took the time to spell it different.
I went on to plead my case but where do you think that got me....banned lol
So yeah, they needed 1000 spf block for that amount of exposure.

dude, your profile pic was KD, you dressed just like him, and your backstory was basically a manuscript of the show.... Yellowstone is watched by hundereds of millions of people. the examples you gave of famous people were like an australian pony rider, and a guy named Travis.

When pulled in to discuss it, your approach was, "make everyone else do it first or im not gonna." Then finished the discussion with power struggle attempts and temper tantrums.....
