My RDO Experience - is it really that bad?
Just to give you a heads up. I love the RDR series, its by far my favorite series of games out there. Latetly i haven't been playing much but i've gotten the taste of online again. So i checked out this sub to see what's going on. Left and right you hear people crying about cheaters and hackers so i thought to myself "It can't be that bad.. can it?" so i decided to boot up RDO and joined my camp. Before i got out of the loading screen i heard explosions. The screen fades in, i have small explosions coming out my body, staggering me every 0.5 second and i was unable to move. I'm astonished how much cheats are going on in this game and how little is being done about it. Is it even worth playing right now? I need honest opinions

Honestly players need to really consider banning together perhaps in a class action lawsuit because companies like Rockstar are failing the customers that help them stay in business when they fail to kick out players that are disrupting the game play through hacks and cheats and such.

One day I was just minding my own business riding well outside of any city and my horse just started to fart fireworks out it's back side. Sent me flying in the air couldn't even pick up my hat as it got embedded into the ground I mean it's insane what these idiots do that think it's OK to ruin other players game and for the devs to do nothing about it. Perhaps it a few got hit with class action lawsuits it might wake up the dev community to take hacking seriously across all platforms!

I just joined another lobby and was instantly teleported to valentine. Where, i assume 5 modders, they all had flashing names and levels, have built some kind of throne and lounge on the grass while blasting racist music thorugh the voice chat. Anyways, i'm trying out RedM right now.

first time I ran into a cheater was in Saint Denis. The fool was throwing horse carts at players while teleporting and using god mode.

Well…

Is it worth playing on PC right now? Honestly, no.

I wish I had kinder things to say about the PC version, but it’s tragically a complete nightmare right now. It’s just a playground for cheaters.

Is it worth playing on console right now? Yes.

Cheating isn’t a problem in the Xbox and PlayStation versions of the game. The experience on console is SO MUCH better.

Apparently Rockstar is working on an update for the PC version. Will it finally address the rampant cheating? Who knows.

Maybe one day Rockstar will fix the PC version of this game, but currently, you’re really better off playing any other PC online world. Red Dead Online for PC has a ton of potential, but currently it’s being completely ruined by the out of control cheating. :(
