Red Dead Online

My god
Alright so I officially hate that moonshiner business - Revenue Agents - the most hardcore NPC's I've dealt with - The breakable deliveries which I dealt with and used the horse aim trick in order to auto the delivery had some delicate problems - however that's part of moon-shining.

I just did my big sale - 6 minute timer to go to the same homestead I did with the medium with a 9 minute timer - same roadblock - had a revenue agent THROW DYNAMITE at my cart (which I somehow shot out of his hand) he disappeared with the blast along with his horse - then I ran up the hill breaking one bottle was just around the corner from the homestead - timer ran out. WTF.

Trader is like 10times better - it may take 3 hours to get 500 dollars out of a max sale - however you can just do bounty hunting as a side extra and you don't have to worry about all these little stupid things - like finding flowers canned food etc - stupid revenue agent blocks - buying supplies to start the process - like come on.

I'm so glad I only spent 15 gold on this - because if I did this at full price I would have abandon it quicker than anything.

Edit: I'm level 10 on this now - I'm going to finish this up to level 20 doing those medium deliveries and thats it - got a chill place to relax and I'm not touching the business part afterwards - you don't even get gold for anything - so it falls behind trader hard when you easily park your camp near an area with lots of animals around - or doing bounty hunting in the grizzly's and getting pelts from loot - while not spending a dime on any of those roles.

Huh, Moonshiner is my favourite way to make money. o_o

Once you’re max level you can easily make about $200 every-time the Moonshine’s ready by repeatedly making strong-alcohol, Raspberry/Peach cobblers.

You can easily buy the fresh/canned peaches, and raspberries aren’t hard to find.

I set up my Moonshine Shack in Tall Trees, and all the deliveries are really easy. :)

If you think you’re going to be stopped by the revenue agents, just stop your wagon before the checkpoint and shoot them all before they run their inspection. XD

Hope this helps.

I'm in grizzlies - I prefer to be by that water hole for fishing/hunting - It's the time limit - that's the one thing that ruins the role itself - If I wasn't rushing to get to the sale and had to deal with revenue agents running up on me with dynamite - I wouldn't even complain once - I would just go fast enough to be a few steps ahead of the agents - I would rather deal with constant agents coming after me like the duke boys - then to deal with time and both those situations.

It's really mirco-managed almost to a fine point that you're on experience will become bipolar, and really who would want to do moon-shining and have a high chance of having your stuff destroyed when you only have maybe 2 hours a night to play that.

I'm sorry to learn about your situation. Personally, I find the Moonshiner role to be the most enjoyable. The "Norfolk Roadster" is, in my opinion, the best horse in the game. It seems that the issue might be related to your setup. I've heard that the location you choose for selling moonshine can impact the difficulty, with some places being more challenging than others. I've set up mine in the Heartlands, right next to Emerald Station, and I never encounter issues with time constraints or broken jugs. Best of luck!

It shouldn't be like that at all - You can't copy paste content towards location when each location has it's advantages/disadvantages - that's 100% laziness.

Like for example I have my camp up above strawberry - I like and know the area very well - so I set it up there. When I started Trader role I decided to move it next to valentine so I could sell anything I didn't give to cripps - short journey - Those resupply missions though last a good 15-20 minutes. After that I went back to my location up in strawberry - did my first couple of resupply missions - 2 of them are right beside my camp, the wagon drives right next to it, and the save the supply run guy is a short walk away to the cabin right next to my camp - the other 2 are down the road going towards strawberry(route I take anyways - for Treasure hunter/hideouts) Thus resupplies take me at most 4 minutes. - On a side note that camp is great for the revenue agents because they spawn their blockades right outside the camp - got 2 locations for ambushes - it's a hop, skip, and a jump for bounty hunting - and animals spawn on either side of the camp making pelt runs really fast and easy.

Anyways yeah that location is kinda broken - however you go to valentine you have some of the crazies missions - have to deal with multiple NPC's and the roads are garbage - if they balanced it out a bit you could put your camp anywhere and have a balanced resupply/sell mission for the trader role - and while the moonshiner role does suffer from it with location as you said - It has that watering hole - which I can just spawn in to my shack run out to the road - load in my hunting wagon - drive around a rock and there I can shoot deer and elk that are swimming in the water hole - put their pelts in the wagon - then go finishing.

Tall trees does seem like a good place - I was heading to the fence to sell/buy stuff and seen the shack literally down the road from the fast travel - so you have fast travel advantage - and access to fence when you need it.

Those advantages/disadvantages should be the only things that you should be concerned about - not how hard/easy the missions are.

I didn't mean to say the missions were more challenging; I apologize for any confusion. What I was trying to say is that my choice of the Heartlands as a location offers advantages like well-maintained roads with minimal turns or water crossings. Occasionally, I encounter a single route to Butcher Creek that involves crossing a river. The alternative routes lead to Van Horn, and the most challenging path takes me up a mountain to "the shack." Having experimented with other locations, I can affirm that the Grizzlies pose more challenges compared to the Heartlands. My point is simply that the routes in the Heartlands are faster and easier in comparison. I recognize it may not align with the game's intended difficulty, but as a player who gained wealth through moonshine, I'm just sharing my experience.

Oh I understand - and that's exactly the issue - you have clean roads and open areas - My sell missions I have rocks - trees - sharp turns and everything - yet both locations I have to assume have the same timer - otherwise why change it?

GTA Online had perfect setups for each location for supply/sell runs for business, and depended on where you want to be you can choose that location and have the same experience as someone who choose other places(with minimal exceptions) - Final example all of my businesses where around route 69 - bunker/biker bar - facility - smugglers. All I needed to do was just spawn in go to route 69 and do all my stuff.

CEO buildings had no advantage - and you can choose your business in town around areas you wanted and mission wise was pretty much the same.

Yet here we are RDO and unbalanced business locations - goes to show their just going where the money is - should really just give it to someone else and just stick with GTA.

I understand that you're pointing out the disparity in expectations between Red Dead and GTA. I share your sentiment, as I, too, felt disappointed with certain aspects of Red Dead. One immediate observation was the restricted sense of freedom; the game often guides you along a specific path, leading to the development of tuberculosis and an inevitable demise, which left me dissatisfied. As you mentioned in a previous conversation, perhaps Red Dead Redemption 4 will address these concerns and offer a more satisfying experience.
