No you are wrong entirely. I had someone pop in and I watched the spawn over and over again in my camp with the white flag up and attack me. Then two different characters spawned in and one managed to choke me to death. When I shot them over and over as they spawned suddenly 12 spawned in all the same character. But get this, if you invoke a 'B" mission like a telegram town attack you pull them into it with their name visible.
I was killed once and it says I killed myself in one instance. The game wanted me to parley with myself. The next instance the killer was just blank. This happened in two places.. I left the first place and went to my camp. This is where I saw them spawning in by the wagon over and over and over and over. The only way they can find you after two movement is to join your in game as part of your posse. They are not travelling the are spawning at my camp.
That is the same routine as friend or posse that lets them spawn at your location. If they can hide their name the not register in a posse. It is that part of the code that lets them find you no matter where you move on the map and spawn right next to you. Now the counter to these hackers is to immediately invoke a B mission. It pulls them in with you since they are attached but it reveals them form and name.
There was a new hack that is part of this. They can spawn multiple instances of themselves. Dozens even.
Public or not its a serious matter for them being able to get sensitive information so easily...
VPN is required to play any rockstar online games unless you want them to harass you and possibly finding out where you live but they for sure gonna have a location but if they dig deeper they find more than just that.
Better yet https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VI6-z1tUa7g&t=1s Public solo session
I had alot of modders trying to find where i live but yea they all failed...even after i pissed them off so bad lol ....in gta mostly
I'm just lurking the forum i quit online a year ago cause how they neglect this game I just wanted the OP to know.
Not everyone wanna play solo lobbies though they rather pvp or interact with other players.
Also more stuff spawning in solo sessions too
They can do that if they were members of your posse before. It's a little similar to crews in GTA. They can just open the posse menu and join your posse even if it's in another session; but as I said they've to have been in your posse before. In other words they don't need your IP address to follow you from session to session. I don't even think that's possible.
I have a question on the single player hide mod above. What does that do to other players trying to join you in a fight not in a posse but just in open world?
It may not be POSSE related but it is definitely not IP.. However they seem to be able to attack in safe areas like post offices.. They do not follow you into some instances.. they cannot seem to run as fast as you can either.. their bombs land behind if you run.
What I dont understand is why Rockstar and Steam for that matter gives away user information for linked accounts to anybody in game. I think both Rockstar and Steam needs to be held accountable for that disregard for privacy.
Are you part of Rockstar.. otherwise it is just conjecture and letting the hackers know what to change.
