Turn off Aim Assist in PVP
*Shrugs* Read the title. Give me one good reason aim assist should be allowed in PvP and I'll delete this post.

I play with Keyboard and mouse and without aim assist, ofcourse. But I've been playing on PC since I was a kid, so I know how to handle myself. Still i can't really complain about a slightly aim assist on controller for some users because maybe they struggle a bit and, tbh, aiming with a gamepad is hard af. So yeah, we are at a "disadvantage" against players that use controller but you can still put up a good fight.
Although I would love for Rockstar to add a Free roam world without aim assist. And leave a free roam world with slightly aim assist :) Just like hardcore modes on Call of Duty i think.
Removing aim assist totally will make users that play with controller surely leave. And that's not good. So by adding like a session without aim assist would be great. Hope R* manages that, someday.

I'm not saying remove it from regular play, I'm saying remove it when PvP begins. The aim assist is an auto-lock on your target with a controller, which is a huge disadvantage to PC players who don't get that nice little bit of luxurious aiming assistance.

Heck I've been domed consistently while moving erratically because of the controller's aim assist, and I'm no slouch of a shot when it comes to PC mouse n keyboard.

How about this, allow controller players the option of playing with non-controller players. Make it a toggle. If you want aim assist, no crossplatform, if you don't mind not having aim assist, sure crossplatform it up. Controllers just provide such a cheap and easy advantage, its just like GTA where people can auto-lock onto you unless you roll and even then they just have to release and re-"aim" at you.

That's a good idea. Even easier than adding whole different sessions without auto aim XD. I would suggest this kind of post on reddit or maybe even on rockstar forums. But I highly doubt R* will follow up the idea. Since they been paying little atenttion to players lately and focusing on getting "rid" of modders (which is a good thing, don't get me wrong) but yeah. Hope they will consider something like this :mhwgood:
i played whole rdr2 on xbox with controller and now have online on pc. controller is so much easier as long as the enemy is on your screen it will auto aim to them and be at center of body. then you just joystick up to head and it is constant insta kills.

Exactly and/or Slippery bastard if they are using repeaters, pistols or any weapon without scope.

I can tell you why I don't use it:
juicy +20 xp free aim bonus per kill

I don't know if you get that for pvp (because I pretty much solo lobby) but +20 xp is yummy.

I know the feeling XD. This is important. I'm always telling my posse to watch usernames before facing against a posse and/or players. Because there are excellent builds for tank while using slow and steady, never without one and fool me once and tonics lvl 3. So it's "easy" to confuse a modder using god mode with a tanky build. So I always check player's build.
And the same happens with slippery bastard.

Aim assist? It's literally auto aim. lol And also, Rockstar, there's your answer, some bright head there thought it's a good idea to give everyone aim bot.

Aim assist in this game is a joke, u disable and still remain enabled ... I play using controller with free aim and even so I notice the aim locking the target very lightly.

if you can't beat them, join them.

Untill they add gyro aiming for controller no.

Using a sniper with a mouse its like cheating in this game.

I agree they should also disable mouse aiming in PvP, high sensitivity plus good reaction times are completely imbalanced.

PvP should be D-pad or atari trackball aiming only.
