SOLVED - Character bug - Collector / Metal Detector

I found a fix that worked for me, it's not mine, but I want to share it:

Go to:
C:\Users\YOU\Documents\Rockstar Games\Red Dead Redemption 2\Settings - and delete everything but the system.xml

Then go to - C:\Users\YOU\Documents\Rockstar Games\Red Dead Redemption 2\Profiles\[String of numbers] - and delete everything but the KeyMappings

Then start "Red Dead" and when its asking you if u want to sync click on " NO ", but still start the game and calibrate the Brightness

Confirm the brightness and close the game with Alt F4 / social club menu

Start the game and join an online lobby, open the ingame social club and sync your files with the cloud again. IF it asks you to download a backup, press "No"

It's just buggy RS...I have mainly had the metal detector bug.no sounds or light but do get the Dig Notice when I finally get to the right spot but is tricky...and the pelts disappear bug...I change sessions and then camp locations and most of the time that works... sometimes I run a different mission and that works. Last resort is relog but now I just do other things rather than bother if camp or session change don't fix it

I have that same problem. My metal detector is not working at all. Did you find a solution?

No, sadly not. However: Rockstar replied to my ticket!

Just to tell me "Cool thanks, we informed our technical support team. Ticket is closed now btw, sorry mate. Hope we gonna find the error sooner or later" (Okay, they were not that sarcastic but you get my point).

Try to quit Onedrive, there is a conflict with it I think
And say no when the launcher ask you to save online. The game will set as default and it should work normally,

Same here. Collector's maps just don't work as the metal detector.

Rockstar gave another reply saying they are currently trying to fix it, but no compensation. They did not reply to the "flowers and bird eggs are missing" - part though.

Can't open collectors maps,Can't reset Finds 1000 collectble awards,resent page in bag will be stuck at a "defoult" setting and have phamplets i used before quickdraws passes, Metal detector don't work, Shovel don't work,Collectble items such as ammo, jewlery, flowers,eggs,coins, do not spawn in game, getting my hunting wagon make all animals dissapear untill i disscharge it and change session. all this since quickdrawpass#1

At this point i cant really be botherd with the game, told support to
"go ♥♥♥♥ themself" kinda not care if they gonna ban me or not.
I lerned one thing with this experince, i will never every again buy a copy of anything Take2 releated, i know my 20euro is nothing to them , but i rather not throw money at that company again.

Thank You!! - Award Given!! Maybe you also have a Fix for the ERR_GFX_STATE also? Nothing ive tried online seems to work.

Thanks for the help, it worked with the collector cards, only one thing should be said, make a save before u delete the profiles, copy folder profiles for the story mode, after delete copy it back.
