Chase the beavers into the new forest quest.

Is there a way to change the quest of chasing the beavers to the new forest?It's freakin' hard.It is ok if you chase just 1 but you have to chase 5 of them.:(

Is this after you grow the new trees? I've been stuck on that part for what seems like way too long.

The thing that helped me with that was to build a large number of fences and to build from the bridge all the way across, so that when the beavers got to the bridge they didn't just go past it. Also I found that if I chased ALL of them generally to that end of the island at once it was a lot easier. Once they in the area of the bridge I build the fence around them so they had no other place to go than across. It was a hell of a lot of wood, but you get most of it back when you deconstruct them.

I just completed this quest. It was rather annoying to complete, especially when my game crashed as I was herding the last beaver, and auto save's last save was when I'd only herded 3 into the area.

This quest is annoying. I just managed to get them there one by one. Never thought of placing fences, that is smart!

Sometimes I think developers ask themselves, "what can we do to reeeally annoy our players?"

It would be better if you could just herd one and the others would follow as this quest is way too hard.

Just use fences or dig some trees or bushes and plant it like a fences. FYI the beavers can't pass the tree or the bush

One of the beaver isn't afraitd and is not running away from me...., it kind of make me wanna quit the game, this herding really is frustrating :( and one of them ended up near my farm when I've never herd him that way

I thought I was being clever using fences. The beavers ran right through them, so how exactly did that work for you?
update, tried cedar fences, they didn't run through those but I still can't get them to cross the bridge.
I can not get the beaver to cross the bridge, this is the part that is the most frustrating about this quest. If I could just pet them and have them follow me it would be much better.
Oh and getting attacked by geese while trying to do this is freakin maddening.
Oh and now somehow one of the beavers crossed the bridge toward the farm, so I'll have to make that one cross two bridges. ugh.

Hello everyone,

The quest with the beavers;
I have don this quest with my dog as whit the quest of the sheep. So I was able to chase the beavers in 2 groups across the bridge to the new location.

I used the very first fences, i did not build a hallway, there are two big stones, so i blocked area between one of them and left side of bridge, area between two stones and put couple of fences to the right of bridge so when i chased the beaver the only way he can go next is bridge

use the dog whistle and chase a few at a time. don't over do it. You make a line with the dog and move the dog to keep them in front of you. whistle a second time to make him switch to the other side of you. this allows you to pretty heard them in 2-3 at a time. the key is not doing 5 at a time. just do as many as you feel you can.
