You have to give the dog a treat to hunt then have the bell in hand for him to hunt down Willow.

Hey, you need to train your dog to track for you. If the dog has the necessary level, you can give him a treat and then hold out the bell of willow, for this you only have to select "hold in hand" the dog sniffs it and goes on the search, while searching you must always hold the bell in your hand.

this was my issue dog was fully trained but wouldnt look at bell..Train dog by throwing stick several times.

But i brought Willow back and put her in the pen behind the barn but the quest still hasnt completed, what am I missing?

Elvoc, I had this as I had brought her back before the quest. You have to backtrack within the game, let the dog find her, using the tips above and then pet her for her to follow and lead her around a bit, if that doesn't work, head out of the farm and back again. This worked for me to achieve this section and continue as normal.

I brought Willow back, repaired the pen and talked with grandpa but he didn't give me the plaque with a cow on it to put in the pen to complete the quest......What now?!?!

I've located the cow thanks to the dog. But, i can't figure out how to get the cow to follow me home. Any tips gratefully received.
