how to get horse and goat back to farm

I repaired the bridge that needs 10+ nails and found the two brown goats and horse on the other side. But I can't find a way to bring them back because I went there through jumping across the cliff while animals cannot follow me through. Also my cat and dog stopped following me as well. How can I bring them back? I've been explored the whole area and cannot find any way around. >.<

Hi I figure out what happened there. Just keep progressing on the boar/beaver quest and you will see!

yea one thing to keep in mind with this game is most progress is locked behind quests.

This has been driving me insane too. I wasted a whole day trying to get them over these dang rocks. Guess I'll wait..
