Can't get rooster

I finished all quests. I have all animals except the rooster (I also can't buy other types of chickens at Merchants ) I have nothing. How to get them? or is my game just broken?

What you do is near the coop some yellowy rooster feathers should drop on the floor. You use the dog treat if you got one from a quest and then select the feather in your tool bar and the dog will track the rooster for you in the wilderness :) I thought it was a quest though

I checked it and I theres no rooster feathers near the coop ;/ (I checked the inventory and chest too)

I had this happen, I picked up the coop and a put it back down a few seconds later. Came back the next morning I think it was and there were two feathers. I'm assuming by picking up the coop, it de-registered the chickens as putting it back down I saw the animation the chickens have when you first bring them to the farm, or when you incubate a chick and put it by the coop.

Also at a different time I placed a second coop and got another two feathers.

Hi Void i have the same problem. i can't buy the brown chicken and i don't find a yellow rooster feather.
and which is verry weird: i get the rooster one morning in my coop, without the quest or the feater :DD i dont understand that :D
maybe you have already solved the problem ?
