Can't ride any of my horses (BUG)

I've used the prompt to get on the horse and could ride them before, i basically get on the horse and immediately fall off the horse. I've done it in a field without any trees or obstacles around and can't get on the horse at all. This bug is really stressing me out lol

Do you have the saddle? The patch said you now need to buy a saddle.

I had this happen when I had something in my hand and did not realize it (like food or the whistle). You probably already tried this, but make sure you have nothing equipped. On PC, I think it's right clicking to unequip anything in your hand. I hope it's as simple as this for you.

I thought that was only a decoration and you get the saddle as a reward for completing the race

You can't ride the horses unless you win the race, dev said so. I haven't won but I assume that means you need to saddle the dream earns you.

I have a saddle equipped, my hands empty, and yet STILL most of the time when I try to ride the horse, I fall off immediately.. Has anyone figured this out?? Like Splatty, I've even tried it a few different places to make sure nothing was in the way.. Arg!

I only had the 'cant get on' or even 'pet' animals when they are on rock/cliff surfaces or slopes. Mainly happens to me on the north west side of the map where pines grow (beaver/horse island). I even phased through them and fell to my death and it loaded me elsewhere. My biggest bet is maybe the animal is bugged and is thinking its somewhere it shouldn't be like phasing through a wall or the ground. All i can possibly tell you is maybe you should go on a very long walk with the animal or don't touch it for a day and pray it fixes over a game night :(

I have to pet the horse immediately before riding it, then it works. Otherwise I bounce straight back off.

Press "Q" before jumping on the horse to clear your hands, worked for me :)

I've done it with the saddle and it still doesn't work. Very annoying bug. I'm not going to play until they've fixed a few more bugs hopefully soon.
