Not everything can be successful, but what matters is you tried and in a world where VR isn't all that popular, it's nice to see folks trying to keep the traditional MMO alive.
Did nothing i.e. worked for the money and paid for said game, with promises made and expectations set by the developers themselves.
Have some self respect, or do they not teach that where YA'LL from?
... Did you even read the post? They're abandoning the traditional MMO structure.
They've announced there will not be any further updates to the MMORPG, and all development efforts are now put into the F2P gamemode that people never asked for.
MMORPGs only exist due to people playing them because their very core requires a multiplayer experience (Raids, dungeons etc)
If you are unable to find other players to do that multiplayer content with, you are essentially softlocked in progression.
Yes, the MMORPG "technically" still exists, but it is abandoned by its developer.
Ironically though, Emma saying "it's nice to see folks trying to keep the traditional MMO alive" is unintentionally hilariously accurate.
They are keeping the traditional MMO alive by abandoning their VR MMORPG, thus pushing players back towards the traditional, flatscreen MMOs.
YES!!
However, setting up a system like that is likely a lot harder than it sounds...
DID YOU EVEN READ STEAM CHARTS?
Dead game is dead. VR is dying. Move on. All but 20 people have.
Also, i want to point out a little detail, denying services to your consumers and banning them under the volatile reason of "negativity" consist as a break of you own TOS and the Steam TOS, everyone is allowed to have their opinion over a product they purchased, if you actually do ban consumers over your product "reputation" this stands in the legal domain of "controlled censorship" which constitute as a severe violation of the consumers protection act.
which also, could lead you guys in legal trouble if someone decides to initiate a lawsuit for that reason.
So please, play nice with your community.
They are the ones who gave you the initial dollar to make this project possible in the first place...
