I feel like a lot of people just don't want to spend the amount of hours in VR necessary to actually max out their level or complete everything the game has to offer because VR just isn't as comfortable as a flatscreen monitor. My guess is that it will be a very long time before any VRMMORPG stays popular for a long period of time.

Many of the posters who tell you not to buy it are just ignorant gamers who thought they bought an early release without the knowledge of what early access means. The game has been out for 5 months and it clearly states on the store page that the game is in development still.

If the game is in the same state 6 months from now with zero improvements or anything added then you might have valid complaints

It's been in the same state since it has released, pretty ♥♥♥♥ still

Final Fantasy IX was one of the first MMOs that was playable in console, it doesn't mean it was a great MMO, but the lack of options was what drew a playbase
updates that "build a a tower in the sky" shouldn't justify a flawed foundation that will crumble to the ground
for example: Fallout 76 was a barebones MMO that try to cash in the fallout name
and they released a AWFUL subscription model and just assume players liked the game in the crappy state they released on
same think with Elder Scrolls Online, they just released a barebones MMO with a Oblivion / Skyrim coat of pain on it, and they forced people to buy a DLC story to add some meat to the bones

I dont know about that, that seems to be influenced by your personal bias against those games. Ff11 was so well recieved that recieved that its still going strong with an active playerbase despite there being other MMOs people can play since its released. And to say ESO is barebones is also a bit rediculous given how all of its literally hundreds of dungeons, dozens of raids, and like 50+ zones are included in its subs + box/expansion cost which is just about as standard as an MMO monetization can get.

You may disagree on the quality of those games but enough people liked them that theyre recognized as some of the most succesful games in the genre.

Even considering how genre starved VR is for MMOs, Zenith has still massively flopped while you were trying to say those two games did well only because people were desperate for something to play. Your argument there doesnt really follow through.
to clarify, I think FFXIO is a great game, I was saying it was pretty much the first of it's kind so it had many shortcomings, such as the messy controls and ridiculously convoluted update process, so I think more of a prototype of what would come rather than a full blown revolution
as for ESO, yes, that's what I didn't liked, the base game is too barebones to with it, the whole point of paying for an expansion is to, well, expand the base game... if it was 2014 and I just finished playing Skyrim and someone tell me "buy ESO, the base game is really lacking, but it gets better if you buy extra DLC" I would not look at that game again

good games can have low points
bad games can have a fandom
you shouldn't judge a good game solely based on it's shortcomings
and you shouldn't praise a bad game for the 2 or 3 things they do better than an AAA blockbuster

I really want a vrmmo, but this ♥♥♥♥ aint it. My friend convinced me to buy this. I couldn't even make a full two hours in. I didn't try to refund it because while I may not like the product, I truly want to support the idea. Unfortunately for me the game just looks soulless, feels empty. and I get that bored feeling in the pit of my stomach when I play longer then 20 minutes.

a console MMO for PlayStation / Xbox
while, yes, there was a few online multiplayer games back in the day, that was pretty much the first that let's you play with thousands people in the same server instead of matchmaking at most 30-ish people into a limited lobby

I want you guys to know that while it is painful to read this, we hear the feedback and are doing everything we can to re-orient around what you, the community, want. This won't happen overnight, but I hope you guys will gradually start to see changes take place over the course of the next few months. Just because we are silent, doesn't mean we aren't paying attention.

One example of this is we've dedicated an engineer to specifically fixing the top complaints that have been reported in reviews, in our feedbear, and by our most active users. Many of the top complaints have already been addressed, we just haven't released them yet.

Anyways -- if you don't play today, I hope one day you will come back -- we are really doing out best to build the game you all want :)

Reading that made me glad I didnt refund, I support what yall are doing. I know we are far from it but one day I hope we can get the level of what we've seen in movies and anime VRmmo experience.

i appreciate the response, and i completely23 understand your pov. A huge however is that you dont communicate even though the game is so small. Get a full time person on talking with the community and respond on the .feedback.

Even if you had made obvious huge strides thus far, the fact you dont talk to a community this small on the reg is a very bad sign.

look to ggg for an example of community feedback, ive been their loyal supporter since their first closed beta its a decade now, regardless of changes i dont like. I wantthis game to succeed and I want you to succeed. Get someone to quell the rumors, answer questions, and post on work your doing., This era of communication is neraly mandatory to be constant as attention spans are way too short and people just make up their minds on their own with no input then spread it like a disease.

Hello Disco, I just replied to your review regarding the same discussion point but i will say the same thing here. We tested the new content with hundreds of players before release and adjusted according to the feedback but feel free to provide examples and feedback here https://feedback.zenithmmo.com/boards/game-feedback

When people complained about the idiotic platforms you had to try to get through to get to the raid this is the nonsense answer, tested with hundreds sure it was. Haven't turned it on since.

We are actively recruiting for a community manager ASAP -- it's a role I take very seriously so it's been hard to find someone that is the right fit. we interview candidates all the time though. I appreciate the feedback.
