But:
Movement is funny, I like the flying system.
I've a good understanding, thanks. Which is exactly why I have the critique I do. Being critical of something that clearly can, has, and should be better than a standard set for the genre 20 years ago, is not unwarranted.
I would guess I've 'probably' more understanding than yourself, actually, because people with a genuine heart for consideration and understanding of things would not go around immediately assuming a person's prior knowledge, ability and history in such an arrogant, self-righteous, judgemental way just to validate their own opinion.
Its irrelevant that they are early access. If theyre not postured to reasonably deliver on what they're selling they shouldn't be essentially pre-selling it.
If theyre charging money for it, people are going to evaluate it like any other paid product. This scrutiny thats invited because its a paid product (even if its unfinshed) makes it the worst time to under deliver, for whatever reason they might have. This is the prime time to build up good will, but a lack of reasonably paced and sized updates expends goodwill before they even have any, putting them into a deficit which is a reason why the moods about the game has turned so sour.
Flip side is, without a monthly subscription and with a fairly low sale price, it's not a rip-off. It's just really, really lacking in depth.
If the devs dont fix the trash the gameplay " skills lagging or not activating, crashing issues, dungeon and raid breaking bugs " before they add more worthless content such as gear and crafting changes the games gonna die forever.
I think most players who like the game currently, understand that they needed to put something in the end game. Its there now... pretty everyone agrees that the game needs fixed before they do something stupid like add another class when the currently QOL i sthat of atari and you have to exit game 50 times per session.
If another mmo with half the potential that not completely broken comes out... good bye zenith. sadly as this game could be so great and its pretty close. Some better writers, and mechanical fixes, some changes to fix whatever is causing the lag . Then add more content. I guess this is the real problem early access games. Now that the players who would have loved the game are already experiencing this garbage they will probably not come back later if they do fix it
I have no idea what you're talking about having to exit the game 50 times per session, I've never restarted or had the game crash during a single session.. Pretty much the only truth in your comment is the enemy lag.
I don't even understand why people are so burned for $30 I'm like level 37 and haven't finished all the content yet, and I feel I've gotten my money worth. If I had spent $50 or $60 I might feel a little more meh on it, but the game is fun and there's enough to get your $30 worth.
I currently have a persistent bug that doesnt allow me to turnin quests until i exit game with a ticket in for support about it.
Since you are just speaking on your own and have barely played this game i dont think your the best judge. It takes a week or two to get to lvl 40 on a character for pretty much anyone who is casually playing and efficient. It took me 6 days to get 40 on 2 classes which would be 3 if the quetst werent broen as i cant turn in well over a thousand trophies im just sitting hoping for support to help.
When you ge to raids and have 8 people trying to cast at once while only 5 or 6 spels even go off regardless of all of them using several its " non truth though of course" you start to get a bit frustrated.
Its not that the game is "20, not 30 btw" its that the roadmap from the devs is going to kill the game. I love this game and highly recommend any vr enthusiast to play it.
Its more that the devs already had this game die after its first early release and it jst got a fresh batch of adventurers who are already quitting because the most populated server is nearly un plaable. Guilds have all left it even because its so laggy you you cannot play.
Id reccommend since you you obviously havnt played it much or long enough to make any decision that you try again. Go to acolyte see how ti functions even on medium pop density. Get to the end game content where gear finally actually matters and see how your abilities work.
The devs instead of fixing this stuff are planning to make player made housing, a new class, new skills, and not fixing the bugs plaguing the game or giving you basic things like inventory management.
Its sad. im not burned.. i mourne the game that im playing because its almost great, and im watching a child with potential throw it away.
Yesterday i had almost no issues other than none of my spells connecting of course, but i still had to log due to god stones being invisible, my quets are just perminantly broken right now and godstone text perm on my menu screen so i cant read since its right in front o fmy face and huge.
quest text dissapears,
godstones become invisible,
godstones power descriptions locked on screen over all other text,
class changing locked after doing it once,
avatar invisible to enemies after swapping classes but equipping armour doesnt make you visible again" you cant do anything in this state,
lag related issues making the curent server your own so slow spells do nothing or delay several seconds,
oculus height doesnt reset approprately " but does after logging" this can get you banned for floating too,
Quests can no longer progress at random part of quest states " i know at 1 person that just coudl never do one again support had to fix her game to go forward after multiple exits doing nothing",
chests not appearing or appearing in the ground or too tall to activate,
getting stuck inside an out of bounds area that you fell through the floor in a town or mountain looping you in "safe zone respawning"
My hope is that it fixes the bugs and gives some playable variety to the classes within the next few months or it will die again and they will need to find another way to lure new players in. Being #1 on steam sales during elden ring time is mind blowing considering all the players who tried it will now think of it being this broken.
