Because it's a shallow, soulless, deeply unfinished product that lacks artistic integrity (except the music, that's quite good) or any degree of polish or attention to detail whatsoever.

Que the PR drone white knight players to come and now absolve the game of needing to have any quality or standards by stating the same "eArLy AcCeSs" falsehood that has long since run dry as being an excuse.
Whatever gives them a sense of place and meaning I suppose.

because it lacks any actual depth and players with half a sense realized a poorly executed, half baked, shallow, uninnovative product that barely has any reason to return. but dont worry youll have a horde of people screaming at you soon epitomizing another reason no one plays because of the toxic community
so I would assume I shouldnt buy it in its current state

To be honest, I quite enjoyed when I originally played it. Heard they were going to drop a Cyber Ninja type class and decided to wait to play through the game with that character. Although as I finished school and started peaking back in the community has kind of vanished :/
So to be honest, Idk what late game is like but I do know the glide mechanic wasnt getting old at all. The gameplay was pretty for me. a typical RPG grind which most people dont like. But in VR it kept it entertaining. So idk, i do remeber wishing for a more exciting story in the world but didnt mind it because the game does look really good.
Those are my thoughts, but I havent gotten late game so idk.,.

Edit: also I they are taking way longer on the class than I thought they would. Which is why I am probably out of touch with the game. I remeber thinking it looked like they were allready close to finishing the character. Ig not tho

it didn't really die, people that stopped playing are mostly waiting for more content.
the first major content update is planned for end of june, which will bring instanced dungeons among other things

Many of the posters who tell you not to buy it are just ignorant gamers who thought they bought an early release without the knowledge of what early access means. The game has been out for 5 months and it clearly states on the store page that the game is in development still.

If the game is in the same state 6 months from now with zero improvements or anything added then you might have valid complaints

Lots of negativity here... The real answer is lack of content and slow updates. I've been checking back once in a while but nothing has happened to draw me or my group back. The game just literally needs more. More dungeons, more classes, more world, more.

That being said if you have a few friends willing to play with you it's not hard to get your moneys worth out of the game. Flying around itself is very entertaining especially when you start playing with the more advanced flight modes.

I mean, when you launch with less than 10 hours of meaningful content with basically no replay-ability, take literally months to add the most basic and simple of features, its an expected response.

It took them literally months to even address the server list issues...literally months to sort out...sorting a list of text...I really can't stress how simple something like that actually is from a development standpoint, it could have been patched in within the first week by someone still working out how to code...yet us players had to deal with their joke of a server list jumping around like a cr@ckhead, yeah its a small detail, but again, a small detail that took over a month to even be addressed, not even fixed, and this is after all the hype and promises of working hard to make the best game they could, apparently that just excludes fixing simple bugs and adding ridiculously simple quality of life updates in even a remotely timely manor.

I still have some hope for the game, but i loose a little bit every single month that goes past with nothing special being done, have they even bothered to address the fact that half the treasure chests in the game are sunk into terrain? because they hadn't last time i played, and that was well over 2 months after release.

Another major problem is that the map is too big for the server player counts. During the first week of launch when everyone was in the starting zones the game felt so alive but as soon as you got to mid game you stopped running into people even on full servers. I'm stuck on a mission where I have to kill the shark pirate boss which needs at least 4 people at that area's level and I haven't found a single person in that area the last 3 times I tried logging in.

Its actually a rerally cool VR experience and I highly recommend it. it is still in development and came out the gate swinging hard. Very fun, calm experience.

Most of the people complaining are the same types who finished Elden Ring in two weeks and complained about its content.

The game isnt that bad and I have a lot of content to uncover still. I played quite a bit and made multiple youtube videos on the game. Is it perfect? no, but worth $20 ish dollars? ♥♥♥♥ yes it is.

I played this game for 47 minutes and never came back. I'll probably check it out again after it gets a pile of updates or something neat happens.

The standard session for this game is to just kill enemies until you get to the next quest. Quests are locked until you reach a certain level, so the very tedious grind is mandatory. Sure, you can cook things but there isn't much use for it other than meager buffs that you probably wont go out of your way to make.

By the time you reach level ~36, I guarantee it isn't going to be fun at all anymore. Honestly, you'd have more fun killing enemies in something like Blade and Sorcery or Legendary Tales.

When there are no good innovations to vr combat, there really is no point in playing Zenith.

Great game, still fun to play imo.

Seriously, one of the most entertaining aspects of the game was flying around. And finding tears to increase your stamina so you can fly further.
