The question is, is there enough deviation in the skill/equipment tree to have different KINDS of tanks/dps/healers. Example: Possible to have a healer that can specialize in HOTs(Heal Over Time), or AoE heals, or direct burst healing, or is it pretty regulated(I don't suspect we're going to see skill trees like WoW, but from what I've seen, the skills can have some passive bonuses applied to them that vary dramatically).
I wish I knew; I know that each new skill 'tier' has atleast two skills to pick from; but I'm not sure how the builds work yet for synergies; but I'm sure there's probably one that will be the 'meta'.
I personally would like to know about the abilities that cause knockback/stun; can they be chained by the player/group and keep an enemy knocked back/stunned, or does the enemy gain a resistance to it until it's basically immune.
We might see groups/builds that are made to keep enemies stunned/knocked around.
You get a variety of abilities as you level (both classes) and can focus on a few of them (the abilities you use) and then specialize those abilities in different ways. It's similar (I hate using this example) to Diablo 3 (but more fun in my opinion) where you get set abilities but can choose how they are used, the bonuses they get etc.
In addition you have equipment and the bonuses you get from that equipment. This game is an RPG with character building, but also look at it a bit more like an action game that uses VR in different ways (based on the class you choose).
In SO many ways this game reminds me of Phantasy Star Online (the original waaay back on the gamecube etc). Much like that game you have a set amount of attacks, but you actually have more control over them as you level up, and more abilities/spells etc. Even the outfits etc remind me of PSO in many ways.
I loved PSO and this game also has a ton of potential and is by far the best VR rpg experience (didn't even like Skyrim on VR as it plays better on my computer/gamesystems with my large screen honestly). The potential right now seems to be about 200 or so hours total (possibly a bit more if you level up all sub-classes but those go fast due to experience bonuses/eq already obtained etc). There is plans for additional classes and other content in the future as well, but even with current content it's totally worth it (especially since it's just a one time fee).
For me this will last me easily through the 11th when Lost Ark comes out, which will last through Elden Ring so I am super happy right now.
