So what the hell is Infinite Realms even about?

Wanted to give it a try, but no tutorial or explanation on what you are supposed to do ?
I got tp into an arena with 2 unkilleable dogs, restarted the game, went parkour to get stuck on an island with infinite respawning hyenas or whatever these enemies are.

What is this game even about? I thought it was session like missions or something like that?

It's focused on socializing and group play.. you entered boss rush first, so did I, took 20 real minutes to kill both dogs only for 3 more biger, harder bosses showed up. Had no information on a potion that's supposed to teleport you back to the main island as well. On the discord itself, the "loyal" fans gave me the highschool jerk "he doesn't know" treatment when I asked if the healing arrows are broken because I obviously wasn't being healed when I used them..

And my first experience in IR, was someone standing in the plaza attention seeking because they kept saying "I don't know about this mode" but never actually explaining what they didn't like, for 40 minutes.

It's not just the game but even some players that made the game kinda awful. Sad this MMO didn't survive, glad it only cost me 20 bucks and didn't charge for 90 like a triple a game

Honestly if you don't get high on copium like the loyal folks in the discord they will just ban you eventually. They banned me because I wasn't going to pretend it was ok for them to rip us all off on Last City.

It seems like their way of trying to recoup losses by destroying the game with the illusion of adding features.

i was lucky enough to find a group of nice people to show me around. from what i can tell its just like 2 or 3 places you can go from the starting area, one is boss rush like previously mentioned and the other one is a parkour that leads to a couple public quests and then another boss fight. The goal of the mode is to level up unlock new abilities and gear up. i dont think its meant to be a full on game, more of something u drop into for 30 minutes to an hour at a time, enjoy some combat and then do something else. I dont mind it honestly.

I'd like to also mention that potion that I didn't know about? Tried to use it and it doesn't even work!
