Glad i didn't buy it!
id like to play devils advocate as this game is run by a company while the other Orbus is run by at least people who wish to see the game flourish and are listening to feed back.
this company is quite literally shoving its player base out the window of a two story building over a shiny bill on the end of a fishing line.
-
They continue to ignore our cries, and make dumb as hell choices. they wanna do dumb stuff? don't be surprised when the people who they provide for, give them the response they fish out.
The shortest TL;DR:
They stopped all updates on the MMORPG version of the game, and started working on a low quality dungeon-crawler experience instead.
In the process, they alienated roughly 75-90% of the playerbase who was still playing the MMORPG up until that point.
They became increasingly more hostile towards anyone who voiced any level of concern and/ or criticism.
People who spoke up about the undesired change of course was met with a ban from discord and, in far too many cases, even a ban from the game itself.
The MMORPG is basically dead at this point, both abandoned by developers, and subsequently, the players.
The new gamemode isn't able to retain players either, but instead of accepting they made a big mistake by choosing to develop this unwanted gamemode, and returning to developing the long-desired MMORPG, they're doubling down on the new failing gamemode in the pursuit of a quick burst of cash.
Check the reviews for the game to understand the general sentiment of players regarding the developer's decisions.
This is what happens with MMORPGs in general.
When a developer of games in this genre announces it no longer cares about that game, thus not providing any content updates going forward, the community leaves the game quickly.
In the case of Zenith, the developers had been holding a carrot on a stick in front of the community with their months of 'Zenith 2.0 is coming' hype.
When the time finally came, they just pulled what looks awfully similar to a bait and switch by announcing Zenith 2.0 wasn't actually any new content for the MMORPG, but a new gamemode.
People got upset with that decision and left.
Even many of the hardcore raidgroups have since left (or have been banned)
was to good to be true.
The company Ramen VR is only comprised of like 10 to 15 people all together with only a handful actually working on game development and design so all y'all complaints are unwarrented this isn't EA or Ubisoft this is a small VR game studio and y'all going to end up ruining there chance to succeed and i guess just want a real sheisty company to make an mmo to really screw you over then it's ok right?
