The state of Zenith is the fault of us players and its time we start admitting that.
Edit: Last Edit. LOL. The game is dead and they put out shovelware in its place. Their creditors and funders have them by the balls because no one embarrasses themselves this much on purpose.

Edit: 1.4 is out. godstonmes became a skill tree and they give you a mutli-tool with its own quest (finally)

You already bought it, so theres no harm in checking it out.

While I still have issues with the state of Tank mages and think the redesign wont be everyone's cup of tea, this is the first update that I dare describe as "the right track" or maybe even "promising"

Other players playing, grouping, and not complaining. Its already 100% better than 1.3 in that regard.

Idk if it is enough to keep me playing again but if people are still around and the skill tree is a pleasant leveling experience, I may stick it out for a bit.

ORIGINAL POST:

Turns out, you can soft lock yourself out of the multi-tool. I guess I and others in this situation give the items received to unlock it to a table meant for another.

Never mind that the "wrong" table, in my case, had a yellow quest circle on it right after picking up the quest (and didn't before i spoke to mika), was right in front of the quest giver, allowed it to be given to it in the first place and even completed the quest after doing.

Every developer knows the player is as knowledgeable as the developer and will know the name, place and purpose for every yellow building silhouette they are seeing for the first time.

Why just put the multi-tool on the player's inventory on entry? or verification systems to how the quest was completed. or limit the tables that are unlocked in serial to avoid confusion, or let certain quests be repeatable when they are important to the content?

What a bunch of needy customers you are. They already have your money, what else do you want?!

Big ups to ramen support staff on discord for making it clear that this is my fault. The situation, its possibility and ability to happen is my fault, indeed.

I will admit fault for not knowing what table is which as soon as they can ever admit fault for anything about why this game is dead. Here are just a few things they should find reasons to blame the player for.

  • killed enemies still make noise well after they're killed and despawn, up until they respawn.
  • Raids are still completely broken. No end-game for you anymore.
  • buildings with tears in them in where the second teleport takes you on the old world map were once well lit to see in are now completely black besides the light you see from outside the door.
  • More floating items like buildings and trees, incorrectly placed on the world map. Locations on the map to fall through
  •  when you pull up the world map, the new area is hidden on the map, if you don't know to look for it, you would miss it. They updated the coloring, but didn't once think they possibly should change the default layout of the default viewing of the "full map."
  • the portal for it is in an area no one goes to unless just beginning to play
  • No quest to draw your attention to the new are, where all the new content is.  You know what does have a breadcrumb quest? the academy. The starting zone introduced months before this big patch. Nothing to do, see, no quests and not even a tear. Literally no reason to be there, but were led there and not to 1.3s big island... proving they knew about breadcrumb quests but felt this time around, it wasn't required. (or were too lazy to consider or implement it)
  • new locations progress is tied to quest completed progression, quests that are bugged.
  • not only does the map lock you out of zones until you complete quests that are bugged, those quests can also require donations of farmed materials to complete. The whole server can add progression to, if no one is on playing, all the grind falls on you.
  • This means that your questing progression can alter depending on what server you are on. I am pretty sure this is what causes all your completed quests to show their waypoints in the game, even after completed. You finish a section, that day.. go to the city and come back, everything will have waypoints added back (which is also why quest you have completed in the new area is so impossible to keep track of) I am confident most people are doing quests over and over not realizing they are making zero progression.
  • higher level players, like maxed 40s, for example, will be fighting weak lvl 6 enemies. No auto-scaling or thought put in for older players with max leveled characters. you can just put on the new location's gear to force a nerf on yourself, i guess.
  • cyberninja main mechanic, stealth, completely never explained in game, not even godstones.
  • said stealth mechanic triggers every time you pick up an item and with the pickup rework no longer allowing you to loot while standing, any pet catch triggers this cooldown.
  • even if you do unlock the mult-tool, if you play as a left-handed, the ability to switch modes (mining ore, wood cutting or zipline) are tied to the movement controls. Looking to mine on the side of a cliff? Nope.
  • no system to allow users to edit keys. One dev had the balls to tell me the fix was installing a 3rd party tool for my VR headset to do so.
  • new power core system is never explained, only shown in the crafting table, but still only have very basic descriptions like "increased run speed"

I could go on and on. This is embarrassing, and the player counts reflect that. At least I finally know to stop wasting time on this. Why should i if ramen won't?

How the in world are these players fault? you do know 90% of these are dev's responsibility to fix right? floating trees and buildings is nobody but the map makers and modelers

The post is sarcasm 101.
OP means the devs are to blame for the state the game is in, and lists a whole bunch of issues that show the devs don't understand how players play this game, or any MMO, for that matter.

I stopped playing when pet taming was added and I never got the starting capture pods. I had to spend a lot of my in-game money to get some, and then found out WHY they give you so many to start with. I stopped playing after that.

The game is losing players at a rapid rate because the developers are not making relevant content or updates. They need more enemies, faster action and more meaningful group events to bring back players. The world map is too big and vast with lack of player content, challenging enemies and quests. This creates a void for the player base as the game gets boring fast. They also need to upgrade some mechanics such as getting loot or gold after a kill so it is automatically picked up instead of you having to grab each item after a kill. Due to the developers short shortsightedness, lack of easy fixes, and still tons of glitches through the empty vast boring world the game will probably die in less than a year. Hopefully a better VR MMO development company will learn from these guys massive mistakes and create a more action packed fun MMO RPG game for us VR gamers.

Granted they can be doing more at the same time VR game development takes alot more work then a simple PC game

Reading through this list, several of these were bugs from the initial 1.3 release and several have already been addressed. We have also vastly sped up our release cycle over the last 2 months since this post has been created. I get that you guys are clearly disheartened as the game is not a the quality level that you hope but over the last several weeks we have been working hard to completely redo our production flow to put out higher quality updates.

Thats cool and all but that doesn't excuse blaming your players because they encountered that softlocked them, which is something you're entirely responsible for.

I can't even begin to imagine the mental gymnastics that went into blaming a player for a softlock, when that player has nothing to do with the games development or quality control. OP has literally no ability to control whether or not you release something functional, and your staff is blaming him because your produced and released something with a serious flaw.

i see this all over the place, i understand people are angry and want the game that they paid for. I agree blaming your player-base is a very very bad thing to do, BUT i do also think we gotta address does this dev/devs do this all the time? Was it a one off thing? Where they just having a really really bad day? Where they getting yelled at by there boss, having issues at home? So so many factors that can play into this which you need too take into account. After all devs are still humans.

the dev team size has nothing to do with expecting new systems to have had some quality control before going live.

1.4 is out and does what it says , so its already leaps and bounds better than 1.3. I guess all those who quit made way for new hires with competence.
