Each server can hold somewhere between 110-150 players and when I log in i see at least 6 listed as 'full' another 8-10 listed as 'high' population. As VR games go, this one is going fine still IMO. That's not to say it couldn't die especially if new endgame content doesn't materialize soon-ish.
The only fun I had teleporting around doing invasion events was because other people were around in voice chat complaining too so we had something to bond over, but back to square one where the gear is pointless and the world boss is too hard for casual group
The game has little content, and what's there is hap-hazard. You can see the lack of quality too in the landscape, mountains/hills have gaps, trees are hanging above the ground, it looks like somebody just spammed a bunch of ♥♥♥♥ together quickly, no quality control at all. I can't see these guys lasting too long unfortunately. It's sad.
