How to plant Morning glory seed?

Have you unlocked the morning glory already? If so, then you can buy morning glory seeds in the shop, and you should be able to plant them the same way you can plant all other plants. So first, dig up the ground with your shovel, and then place the seeds there :)

All seeds have requirements for you to unlock them, just check in the shop what those requirements are.


For example, if I want to unlock morning glory, go to the shop(laptop) then check the seeds themself. If they're still locked they display an actual lock on them and in the information on the right side you can see exactly what needs to done and your progress

For morning glory this is:
* Earn 50 garden coins with peperomias
* Culiva a border of 6 full-grown mugworts

Ich hab sie freigeschaltet und auch gekauft. Aber ich kann sie nicht pflanzen!

Hi Sabin, I had a similar confusion with one of the flower seeds. When I was holding the seed, I had the option to 'turn off the grid'. I was then able to plant. It may be the same for morning glories

Then I suppose I have encountered a bug… I was holding the morning glory seeds, trying to plant them in the grid but I couldn’t. I tried the other seeds at the same spot and succeeded.

Aaah now I understand the issue. Perhaps you couldn't place the morning glory seeds, because there wasn't enough free space for the plant. The morning glory is one of the bigger plants, so you must have enough free space of digged up ground to plant it. You probably also can't plant it very close to the house or the fence, since plants the morning glory might be too wide even for that, since it can't touch the house or fence :)

What Sapphire said is also my experience. Morning glory is pretty big.

The grid I only use if I really want to plant nicely on the bigger fields(so they're pretty lined up), for anything else it's sometimes better to turn it off, especially if you want to plant things in pots etc.
