HELP! HIGH RAM USAGE 9GB+

Alright so unfortunately I got suckered into buying this game because the multiplayer looked so fun in VR! However it will either close out, freeze on title screen or my computer will ask to close it due to lack of ram. This game starts out with a modest amount of ram consumption but then gradually climbs to 9GB and probably more if the rest wasn't already being used. I have no idea what's going on and I just want to play... Any tips or tricks? I am running a i7-8086k, 16GB of DDR4 and a GTX1080ti

Open 'Advanced System Settings' and navigate to the 'Advanced' tab. Click the 'Settings' button under the 'Performance' section. Click on the new window's 'Advanced' tab, and click 'Change' under the 'Virtual Memory' section.
-On the Virtual Memory box, uncheck the Automatically manage paging file size for all drives checkbox.
-From the available list, click to select the drive on which Windows 10 is installed. (C: in most cases)
-From below the list, click to select the Custom size radio button.
-In the now-enabled fields, type the minimum and maximum size of the Pagefile in megabytes (MB). Try 24.576 MB for initial size (1,5 of your RAM) and 32768 MB for maximum size.
-Click Set and then click OK.
Restart your computer

Does this game normally run 9GB of ram?

with 16 Gb i was having problems. Runs perfect with 32 Gb and from fpsVR readings RAM used reaches 22 Gb

Yes it's normal that uses that much ram.... it needs like 12GB to start but drops a bit when ingame.
