Softlock in Portrait of Demise

After playing a huge chunk of the Portrait of Demise and having to loop around to an earlier part, I figured I'd go back to the save room at the start to be safe.

Instead I fell down the pit at the start of the zone, and for some reason there's no way to get out of it anymore.

Just happened to me as well.

Not fixed yet. Same thing happened to me (I have the epic version)

You are supposed to get an ability that lets you out of that hole. I just started the game today and if you search the bottom left area there's a fire ability.

It's been over a year, but from what I remember...

The issue was that if you revisited the area later on, the environmental effects that let you escape via your new ability were no longer active.

I just hit this area and went through exactly the same thing. First time through, there were floating rocks that you could use the glide ability to bounce out of the pit. Went back to hit the save room before progressing and the rocks were gone. There's no way out other than resetting to last save

Just wait a little, the rocks came back for me after a while
