Infinite loading screen and save screen

For some more context, I've restarted the game twice. Each time when I get to the screen that says Act 2, I get stuck in an infinite black screen during the auto-save. Trying to load the game after gets me stuck in an infinite loading screen.

This happening to me too, right after talking to Chani when he gets his power.
CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X3D
GPU: RX 6700 XT
Windows 11
Memory: 1TB 980 PRO / 48 GB Ram

This exact thing is happening to me (at the same point - after Chani gets his powers). I got an infinite saving screen,and now I can't get back into the game (infinite loading screen). I've tried restarting the game, restarting the computer, reinstalling the game and verifying integrity of files. I literally can't play the game. Here are my specs:

CPU: Intel core i9 -10900KF CPU @ 3.70 GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
Windows 7/8/10/11: Windows 10
Memory: 32.0 GB Ram on a hard drive that has 1 TB of space

I'm his gf. At first it was right as he started the game. He reinstalled the game and finally got to the menu. Now it's a black infinite loading screen after he chooses to load his save file

Following up. I tried starting up a previous save on my Steam Deck, it does the same thing.
Kind of annoying. Hopefully a patch gets released. I'm going to cross my fingers and not try to refund my purchase.
