Due to plentiful voice work and some lush scenes, it may be more AA?
I think the demo was pretty good in this regard: I don't expect a masterpiece but I don't expect something terrible either. And it's good enough in my book.
My take on it: it's cheap, relative to AA titles, it's trying to be something that I like, it doesn't have the manpower or the funding to be perfect. It's going to have flaws, a lot of negatives, probably, but even after being underwhelmed by the demo, seeing the pre-release reviews and the release price makes me want to give it a shot.
This is a real, "enthusiast" sort of game, you're going to be in that JRPG jank and really need to love the genre and what this game offers to handle it.
I was actually unimpressed by the demo, tried it again with the pre-release reviews, then was thoroughly satisfied with the full game. It really should have opened up more combat options like the greatsword and active skills during the demo, to show off the depth you'll be using for most of the game.
Did you skip the credits of the Min ending and didn't scan your QR code? She's alive and you get your own Team 11 hat.
