Impossible Mission II

Impossible Mission II

Impossible Mission 1?
Really surprised to see the sequel here and not the (better?) original.

Another visitor. Stay a while... stay forever!

Strange, apparently there was an Amiga version of Impossible Mission, but I played it on the Commodore 64. Porting from the C64 might look very "ugly" today. Still I loved that game too.

never finished the first. Had no clue how to put the map together but man was it ever fun!

I played Impossible Mission 1 on the Atari 7800 and the game would not let you finish it.

It was nearly impossible when I played it as a kid on the C64 as well, I never finished it. :( I only ever finished it a few years back on the Nintendo DS version: https://www.mobygames.com/game/nintendo-ds/impossible-mission_

What I meant was that there was a bug in the game at the end where you had to enter a code or something like that and the game would not let you enter the code.

I played it on the C64 and never finished too, the maps were always missing 1 piece. Instead of porting they could have totally remade it for modern PCs with following the C64 ver. I think this was the best and had the best music.

I remember that it sucked so much. I played that the year it came out. I loved it but the game was quite literally IMPOSSIBLE. The Atari 7800 was the best version too and even had a phone line to call into and you would hear the modem logging onto those ancient telephone networks. It was missing the last piece to the puzzle.

The developer forgot to add the piece in is the story I've heard. I wish they would port that and fix it. It would be fun to see!

I don't think the original impossible mission made it to the Amiga 500.
It is one game that has stood the test of time. I still play it sometimes on the C64 emulator and IM 2 on the Amiga one:-)

It did not make it to PC, so it would have to be emulated. The sequel on the other hand did, and even supported the then bleeding edge 256 color mode.

After I'm done remaking IM2 for PC, my next project is a proper IM1 PC remake.

How about Wizball and Paradroid as well?
Loved all these games!
