does the game come in third person view? Looks interesting, Thank you.

Thanks for taking a look. I'm afraid this is first-person view only. The game was designed around the old "blobber" games of the 90's. Blobber - the entire party moves as one and the view is from the first-person perspective.

I see there is potion making (alchemy), will there be other types of crafting implemented later on? Looks good so far. Will the game still launch 9/7? My is the price for the game? Thanks for answering my post.

Tailoring and Blacksmithing are partially completed. I haven't added the work stations yet. Still coming to early access on 9/7 and the price will remain the same after full release.

Just fired it up for the first time and tried out the controls/menus/etc. Just some quick observations:

I absolutely love the way the day/night cycle is implemented. I like how the moon moved to give you an actual sense of time.

My thief got one hit by a goblin whelp, leading me to believe combat won't be a walk in the park...good stuff.

Just a couple things I'd love to see. A mini map would be great. I know where I have to go, but no Idea what direction to get there. Speaking of a map, a way to put notations on a minimap would be great, as the first house I ran into had a trainer. That'll be important to remember later.

I'll certainly play more over early access. Do you want logs of typos and what not?

Congrats on getting the game to EA! I've been following this on the RPG Codex and I'm so happy it's here.

@blizzardmetal - Hey, thanks for following and playing. Yeah, typos equals bugs (though not critical :D) The more feedback I can get equals a much better game for all of us in the end.

I've been going back and forth with a mini-map no mini-map for a long time. Sounds like I need to start seriously looking at adding one.

Great to hear you like the beginning.

How about a compass in game. I am directionally challenged.

kfrench16  [developer] Sep 7, 2020 @ 9:46pm
@Jammer Directionaly Challenged - I like that!

There is a compass in the upper right corner of the screen. Just shows N,S,E,W direction

It would be very convenient if
- pressing the "ESC" key would close open windows (such as a doll, inventory, etc.)
- at the start, the player could choose several skills for each character.
- there would be separate, small maps of regions / locations. Nothing is visible on the big map. Points of interest with descriptions would be a great addition.
- too many battles at night. Quick save and qiuck load would be helpful.

@ukdouble1 - thanks for the feedback!

I'll consider the ESC key suggestion

Choosing skills for each character - this is something that I have considered. I'll think about implementing this in a future update

Regions/locations - If you click on the realm name (Umbrea for example) this brings up an exploded view of the realm. If that is not what you meant, would you mind giving me some examples.
Points of interest - this is something else that I have considered in the past. I'll keep this in mind as well. Might implement with minimap
Quick Save/Load is on the radar - didn't get it finished before EA release

Thx for answer (and for your project). At first, i must apology for my enlish. I am a columnist for RPGs on several Russian sites. I want to understand your game in as much detail as possible (to understand what has already been done and what is planned). Probably in a week, I will publish small reviews on your project. The first impression is very positive.

It seems to me that it is necessary to make two levels of zooming (three levels of maps). IMHO, an even more detailed map is needed, where the player could see buildings and, ideally, could see services in these buildings. Is it planned?
Are you planning the possibility of loading saved game in battle?
Are there any restrictions on a character's advancement in any skill, depending on the class or race (as in the M&M series)?
Will the quality of textures and models be improved?
Avenger (OTG) Sep 8, 2020 @ 1:59pm
I like the idea of P.O.I (point of interests). getting discovered as you travel the map. It would be neat to see more things on the map to head to and explore. Maybe giving you experience?
kfrench16  [developer] Sep 8, 2020 @ 2:21pm
@ukdouble1 - If I understand correctly, sounds like you are talking about a mini-map. Another player was asking about that. So, I am looking into adding a mini-map in a future update since I have been going back and forth trying to decide if one should be added.

Once in battle, you cannot save or load.

Class does determine the skills a character can learn and how far they can advance.

As for the quality of textures and models - this was the look I was striving for. I didn't want to go with realistic nor did I want to low-poly. I wanted something that looked decent (at least to me) and allowed your imagination to fill in the gaps like some of the older games did.

Is there a plan for faster travel options? I know we are early access, and do not have the full roster of spell possibilities, but after having a character die repeatedly, the walk back to the top of the island gets long... lol

and by faster travel options, I am not necessarily meaning "teleport" ala skyrim, just things like horse travel, faster movement speed, things like that.

@wolfman - yes - not horse travel per se. You can take a coach to other areas of a realm like in Might and Magic. Boat travel as well. There are gate spells for teleporting. Only 1 so far. Still figuring out just how many I want. Faster movement speed spells are planned with one already in game called Tailwind. Yeah, I've made that trip one to many times without using my cheats. That's how the Tailwind spell came to be!
