Game is too easy
Like the title says, I'm not really even that good at shooters and I hit first place in two of the three games I played, and had 11 kills for the very first match I played. It is just too easy to run and use healing items with all the mobility options that there are in the game.

suggestions:

1. Greatly increase the time between usages of skills like invisibility or flight.
2. Increase time required to use items.
3. Either greatly increase or greatly decrease the damage done by weapons, preferrably the former. If you have skillshots for weapons then they should be able to take down enemies in just a few hits (aside from frost, which obviously does that anyways), because right now there is just too much movement to make the low TTK worthwhile. It feels like this has a Tribes influence, but it doesn't have the same lethality to make it match up.

The real issue I see is that running away is both easy and viable, because there are several different mobility options that allow you to get significant distance on an opponent, if not just straight up going invisible. This creates a disconnect where fighting people is not really a fight because they can just scurry away as soon as their healing items start to run out, which I took advantage of and repeatedly came out on top. The movement and the spells just don't match up.

Yeah... you're playing against bots. Your first few matches are against bots. Wait until you start actually playing against players and then come back and see if you feel the same way.

ya the first game is all bots

I just started recently and had the same experience. It's just as DudeKosh said. Your first game is almost all bots with some other newbies. Most people report that their first game is a win. It's a good way to get people acclimated to the game without having to go up against super experienced players right away.
I think I'm level 8 and have not noticed bots in my recent matches. Players even at this point seem to be all over the spectrum. Some are pretty skilled, while others are still learning like myself.

Well that's egg on my face. In my defense there wasn't an indication of it being bots.

That's fair. I don't know if anyone would even have a reason to suspect it if they just downloaded and jumped into a game queue, either. I didn't really think about it until after the match. The pre-game lobby had three or four of us spamming abilities and clowning around, but there were a lot of generic skins that spawned in lines without moving. They could have easily been slow-loaders that got queued in last second.

You can look forward to some progressively spicier matches now. \o/

I have 5 hours, so I'm pretty sure all the bots are gone. Just won 3 games in a row. For a battle royal this shouldn't be happening. The only way to actually make it harder is to add more players, so there's not much to be done, but still.

Certain runes can often be too powerful because low cooldowns or additional charges can be stored. It gets especially bad when people have legendary runes with little cooldown. Featherfall and Flight can be used to stay in the air consistently. You only need to touch the ground once every 30 seconds. Plenty of players like living in the stratosphere for 99% of the game because of how safe it usually is up there. Only counter to that playstyle is an ice sniper main who also lives up their. This needs to be changed so their cooldown doesn't start until they hit the ground.

Don't get me started on chrono chaining. You can easily cast it 3 or 4 times in a row and become near invincible for 30-40 seconds if you are a lightning main with runic overload. It's actually super underrated, and would be quite viable if most end-game circles didn't end up with 10 people each third partying in them. You can't chain chrono forever and third parties abound at that point. But chrono still needs a few seconds between each cast as a nerf. I've had clearly better players deal way more damage on me as I chrono them 3 or more times back to back and then they retreat and die once they see what's going on. You can't predict whether a chrono user has 3+ charges or not either.

Invisibility chaining isn't a problem, because invisibility has endless counters, most of which any class can take advantage of. The first being sound awareness (you make plenty of sound while invisible). The second being fire ticks often eats your rune charge, making fire hard counter stealth. The third being foresight hard counters it, especially at lvl 3. And finally, you can still barely see the person while invisible if you are paying attention. I've sniped invisible players that were relatively close because I can see the distortion a tiny bit.

I agree, I only played one match and got bored. The difficulty I expect from a game is not one where I win battle royal on my first low effort try. At the same time, I would expect a clear path towards getting better, which would mean being put into games with players of similar level.

about the chrono chaning, I exiled onced before, he/she's conduit. the problem for me is that it is really hard to pin point the location where they started the chrono, so we can prepare an immediate measure putting toxic or flamewall or something we can timed when he returned to his original position. I was lucky to won the BR, cause there was no more room to maneuver because the storm was already so smalll then flashfreeze him/her before he/she can chrono chained.
