the appeal of the game is simply just being a time waster and watching numbers go up, that's about it. though it also has strategy involved, you can either learn and figure out the fastest and most efficient methods of progression yourself (quite hard, but fun for many), or just run a guide (which I do simply cause that's just how i enjoy the game).
the game starts off quite slow and super simple, but that's the idea, this game is meant to be slow going, not super fast like many other idle/incremental games are. but as you unlock more prestige layers the game will speed up the previous prestige layers tremendously, on top of adding more complexity to the game and the strategies of what to do.
also, the likely reason this game is even on steam is almost certainly due to fan request, as this ensures the game can't die off from some browser shenanigans, and ironically a lot of people prefer their idler's on pc rather than phone.
These games, atleast the good ones, tend to have a lot of layers, a lot of choices, a lot of different things you can do. So it's a very indepth game, just one that is played over 100s if not 1000s of hours with many of them you not actively doing things.
Generally I think incrementals that last weeks to months (if well balanced of course), are the best ones, they're slow, sure. But the idea is just using strategy to get further faster. I do wish certain types of incrementals got more love though (ones like this one, synergism, etc. are great, but really wish there were more like factory idle or reactor idle, besides the obvious one, factorio).
