100%+ CPU usage on Mac
I have noticed my Mac started to get hot while AD is running and after quick check in Activity Monitor I see that process "Antimatter Dimensions" uses only 13% of CPU and 20%GPU (why though), but " Antimatter Dimensions Helper (Renderer)" process uses 80-100% CPU. It feels... Excessive for such a game :-D

Try updating the game, some performance improvements were implemented.

Still the same issue on Mac though :(
But UI scaling is perfect now, thanks :)

And Hevi, just in case - big fan, thank you for this experience :)

Same issue on win7. No memory problems but the CPU is constantly 40%+, but I'm also using a very low-spec computer while I'm away from home.
Unfortunately looking through the code there's not a lot that can be done to fix this without significant changes to the game loop and how elements are updated.
There's a lot of calculations and updates that happen behind the scenes so it's understandable.
Either way, fun game.

Same problem. I thought I could run this in background on my old Win7 laptop, but nope. 80+% CPU usage right out of the gate (new game). For what, some calculations? I even turned the update rate down as low as it would go... now it's 70+%. How can this "game" be 3 times more taxing than, I dunno, playing FullHD video?

Edit: Btw, I'm a returning player and got quite far on an old smartphone a few years ago. I don't remember the smartphone overheating and throttling its CPU. The much more powerful laptop is doing both of these things.

Are any of you using uncapped frame rates? I've noticed with these types of idle games that limiting your frame rate can reduce CPU/GPU usage quite a lot. Worth checking out if you haven't done so already.

Just checked. The FPS never went above 60.

The CPU usage went to 90% as soon as the game was opened. To the devs: I neither know nor care what sort of crypto y'all are mining here, but PIPE IT DOWN.

Yeah the usage caps immediately lol.
I found that the game consumes an abnormal amount of resources for the idle genre.
On my i7-4770 it uses 20-27% of CPU (depends on update rate).
It doesn't look like a memory leak because ram is very little used (about 200mb).
Any solutions, or just wait for "optimization"?
