Can someone explain the flaw in my setup?

If one eternity was at, say, 9.0e1449 and the next one at 1.1e1758 then that eternity is slightly less than 2e308x higher. If you only look at the exponents, it would look like you did everything right, but the exponents are by their very nature always rounded down. Whenever I have to re-do the achievement, I aim for 1e310x higher to steer clear of rounding errors.
