ec9 will take you probally 40 to 60 minutes.
if you see crunches stop giving more IP, disable autocrunches for a while and start waiting for timeshards to build up.
i recommend timepath and active.

Sidenote: it's weird how with my current progression (1e33 EP, ~240 TT because there's no rush for them now) challenge 7x3 gets to within 1e10 IP of completion on the active path and just completely stalls out. I can sit there for half an hour and get nowhere. Looking forward to being able to complete that one and maybe start snowballing again.
If you're stalling out on active path, you may want to refresh the active IP multiplier by crunching once. I think you can also push ec6, which might make ec7 much easier.
