As I stated before,
"whereby you can assign commands to all units individually and then afterwards unpause to resume the action".

This currently cannot be done exactly in this way, from what I have seen of the demo.
Might need to read the store page again. It literally states that it's a NEW STYLE of real-time strategy. Not the same thing.

And why are you asking for something that is literally not the point of the game's design. It's not that sort of game. It's not a combo fighter. You don't need to chain abilities. They're not *designed* to be. You're describing some other game that this *isn't*, and was never said, nor aimed, to be.

It's inherently not that type of game. You're describing a game that was never this. You clearly didn't bother to read the store page.

Meaning, *NOT THE SAME SYSTEM AS OTHERS*. It literally said it's a new system *in the store page*. It's not trying to be anything else, and shouldn't *have* to.

But, I'd class this as a flaw:
At the moment the way characters are assigned, if you have more than four characters in your team, then pairs will need to share cooldowns. That is just lame, while one of the pair fires an ability the other can't. When characters are individual they can all fire powers independently. It doesn't make sense.

I'd have to assume that it's more likely that when you're in mission, it's a focus on the mission. When you're out of the mission and out of combat, there's time to pause.
In combat, you don't just go "Hold up, just give me a sec, freeze your punch where it is right there!"
What on earth are on you about, we're talking about a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game, and suggesting to the devs to add a simple pause button, its a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ jrpg with cutesy anime characters, don't act like you're all high and mighty because you prefer a different mechanic in a jrpg.

All these reminds me of darkfall and crowfall and their extremely toxic and defensive fanbase, whenever other players bring up a simple QOL improvement all the fanboys will retaliate and call them casual and tell them to go play WoW or just don't play the game.
We're here just bringing up a simple Pause mechanic which will not change the game in any way to you fanboys who like the current system, the devs can add it , you don't have to use it and in turn all of us will buy the game because of the change, but no, you fanboys have to come in and ♥♥♥♥ on whoever has a simple suggestion and say we " didn't read the store page where it clearly states it's a NEW STYLE OF STRATEGY GAME with a *real-time* strategy focus".

just because people don't agree with you, doesn't make them white knights or fanboys. after reading through all these posts, you just have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ attitude. You didn't get the response you wanted but that's life. But keep over inflating that ego and playing the victim when the conversation doesn't go your way. I'm sure you holding on to your $60 will cause the collapse of square enix. YAY! You can put another notch in your fedora.
