Basic Level 1 Reactor Guide

I finally made it down to the reactor level and initially found it a bit confusing. Found some good info here in the forum, but it was spread across multiple posts and a bunch was geared towards higher level reactors. I finally got things figured out and am now up to level 2, but thought I would throw together a basic level 1 guide for those who also get down to the reactor and are wondering what to do.
