Dying on every expedition?
Am I missing something? If something has a 15% chance to kill that means 85% of the time I won't die, or no? Because I've died about 10 times now, so I'm thinking 15% chance to die might mean live idk anymore.

--> Scientists table, above the table: "Also, when the time comes for a scientist to die, the higher rarities roll on the RNG (Random Number Generator) not once, but multiple times. Thus they can be saved even from death."
Yeah that is completely wrong.
Sadly the wiki is mostly written by people with no clue and several parts of factual correct information as been removed cause some morons think they know it better than the sourcecode.

And, actually, I believe that you are right and that RNG rolls do not affect resurrection. That means that my strategy with Golden Scythes ++ was rigged from the start. What a waste of Books of Secrets!
I just checked it - the code for ressurection has not changes.

So it is still the same as it has been for a long time:
When a Scientist is dead then clicking "bury" will check - once - if the scientists should be ressurected. With the 80% limit this means you will burn a lot of tickets if you want to keep them. The rewards are really good but the ticket-costs is too insane in general.

As a statistician I am very annoyed by players that complain that their scientist died on a 7% failure chance (probably after surviving 10 runs with the same odds). Many people are awful at statistics.
Can you, as a statistician, give us opinion about scientist death chance implementation in the game? It was originally discussed long time ago in this post:

At the time, I did not understand that webmaster meant. Now things changed. Currently, the game determine scientist death by doing rand(0, 100). If drawn number is less than chanceOfDeath, the expedition fails resulting scientist demise. So, in the expedition with 99% success chance, failure requires RNG to draw 0. People may see this as "unlikely to happen", but in reality for rand() function probability to draw any number, including 0 is the same. That is your opinion about this implementation?

PS: Wiki is full of nonsense. Notepad gives your more information directly from the game code. :steamhappy:
I think my game was just glitched or w.e like everyone is biased but I literally watched 5-10 scientists bite the dust on under 10% explorations. Or I hit the dying scientist jackpot, either way annoying.
