Building materials are a bad mechanic

Money and materials is enough of a limiting factor that your progress is slowdowned signifcantly enough to almost maek the game boring, infact alot of players probably abandoned the game at the veeery slowprogress from 700km-1000km. when you upgraded all your available drill parts and have to rely on golden chests to find more.

Now with the building materials. there is an even worse blocker in the game. Not only are the building materials the "always needed and therefore never available" ressource, but you cant even acquire them passively. You actively have to grind them by opening boxes. For an idle game, that is a horrible mechanic! And opening boxes is the most tidious thing you could imagine. Scrolling through all the levels and clicking them one by one by one with a double click at the centre of the screen inbetween each of them.

is there an easier way to ope nthese boxes?

thanks, i take a look on this, this will make things less tedious, but th BM´s are still a significant slowdown

I currently have over 1000 BM ... If you play the game constantly, it's even easy to get the BM !

good for your. But, if you read my initial post, you will hopefully understand that "playing" this idle game for me does not mean to look at the mediocre artwork for hours while clicking hundreds and hundreds of chests

But I don't spend hours looking at the game... I'm watching Streams or playing other games, like VALORANT, and I leave Mr. Mime open in the background... And when I gather around 50+ Chests ( 30 mins ~ 45mins ), I open them all... .

If you have the Metal Detector nv 5, just press Shift + Space + Mouse 1 on the Chests, and in less 2 minutes you can open them all...

i agree with the op here. the bulidnig materials are horrible. i often have to stop what im doing in my other game to spend 5-10mins scrolling up and down clicking all the chests and then clicknig the detector for how ever many chests its got stored. an idle game mechanic that you literally have to grind and not be idle to do. also ive noticed that chests dont acumulate if you are idle for some stupid reason. you have to be somewhat active for chests to even appear.

im now at the point where i need atlesat 100 bm to do anything and that number at my current rate will take me months to get. how did they go so wrong.

You can get 50x BM in golden chests. It happened to me 3-4 times already which is a huge help. Good luck.

Btw, I don't understand the shift + space + mouse1? I recently discovered that you could press spacebar to directly go to chest, which most definitively will help when I get a raining chest buff, but I still have to click the chest normally (and shift does nothing?). Or am I missing something?

relying on a lootbox that you actively have to grind in an idle game (if you do not manipulate the gamefiles) to get half a building of progress is bullpoo

With space you jump to a chest, with shift + mouse click on the chest you open them without getting the pop up for them. That’s pretty good for the chest collector.

I find getting upgrades for the drill by far more horrible then the materials.
I don’t get any new upgrades and still stuck before level 900.
With this speed i need at least a year to get to the moon.

Sure, but relics are pure RNG.
At the moment i have 3 Endless Miner Speed Potion, 1 Key of Gold, 1 Book of Success, 4 Key of Luck, 2 Book of Time and 1 Endless Drill Speed Potion.
When i would get more Endless Drill Speed Potion or more Book of Time, then i would replace the other relics with them.
But my scientists love the Endless Miner Speed Potion and useless weapon relics and are busy dying most of the time.

Ok. Well you get some Endless Miner Speed Potions and books of time, which is good.
If you play enough, at a point, it's not RNG anymore. I mean, you see hundreds of differents relics, enough to really choose the ones you want.

Some month ago, I had 9 Golden Bow, and I was happy about it. I had 90% critical in fights, and I though it was good. But on the forum, I learned that it was pointless. It was better to upgrade weapons (which I didn't like because it was too expensive). But well, i did upgrade them. And after that, it took some days, but I changed my 9 Golden Bow, and others useless relics, to get book of time & ***Endless Drill Speed Potion*** & book of success. I even have now 6 divine relics, and 2 are "warped" (when I didn't know about the divine relics, i have made warped ones).
So really, with some time, you can get whatever you want.

You have to save your game before to start a quest with the scientist, and if the scientist dies, load the game and start over until scientist get the relic wanted. There is a name for that kind of saving, but I don't remember.

If i understand this right, then the endless miner speed potion is actually good?
I thought it was the worst relic and the first to replace.
