Chest no longer dropping building materials, intended or bug?

I've noticed that since this last update chests are not rewarding building materials. I have opened easily 80 plus chests and not a single building material. Before I would get them fairly regularly. Is this an intended change or a bug?

I noticed that my BM would still increase despite no chests dropping any.
It seems there was a bug, they released another fix earlier and now things are back to normal.

I noticed that too and it seemed like opening chests had a chance to give BM even if it didn't say it did. If they fixed it that is fine but at least we were getting BM. Also nice they can be found by scientist as well now. I need lots of BM.

Same, the addition of the chest collector increased the demand for them by a lot.

As for the scientists finding them, I only once so far had one get them and it was a whopping two BM.... long way to go.

Hey sorry it was a small bug with the message displaying. You should've still been getting them from chests, but not the message.

A patch went out yesterday that fixed this issue.

We were trying to fix a weird issue with the message saying "You got You Gained 1x Building Materials", but accidentally disabled the message altogether.
