Strength Buff?

Yeah. Pouring through post-endgame exploration, and found a couple things. There's some things like that big, square pit I can't find again. How do I descend there, for bonus points? Or, like the strength buff. Double lifting strength? What does that do? I feel like this is used for a unique thing in-world, but useless outside of it. Am I wrong?

Strength buff doubles your damage output.

So starter pickaxe does 1 point of damage. With strength potion it does 2. So rats are killed in one hit, blue skulls take 2 hits to kill instead of 4, etc..

The other thing you mentioned is for future content.
