Oh wow this is definitely a good detective game.

It has an interesting way to solve and put together clues and leads. Generally games like this would have irritating and moonlogic methods of solving. This game avoids that successfully. Almost everything is logical and clear.

You will sometimes think that "hmm I wonder if I can do this" while believing that it wouldn't work, but you will be shocked and surprised that many of them actually work. Very cool.

When someone described it like Songs From Farca, I was intrigued. A genuinely great game and I really enjoy/hacking detective games. There's some interesting ideas but overall it felt like the execution was a bit lacking. The engine feels 2010, and some of the threads are tenuous. (Spoilers ahead...) You have to buy binoculars so that you can look amongst a cityscape to find this one password in this one random room for a blog. There is LOTS to look and scan. And that may make sense if things were generally interesting but it's a needle in a haystack of otherwise uninteresting things to look at.

There are some positives. The hint system makes a lot of sense. I like the setting even. And overall I like the idea it just feels... Not bad, not great.

This is a pretty fun detective game that has an interesting premise and is pretty fun to go through. If you're very focused on dollar per hour of gameplay you might want to wait until there's a deeper discount, but I personally enjoyed my time in game.

Basically it's a little puzzler where you go around going into other people's social media accounts to try to track down your missing daughter. There are a few different endings and some interesting things in the game, so I would recommend it.

There's a demo as well so you can try that out. My only problem is that due to the nature of the puzzles sometimes solutions are a little obtuse, but it is a puzzle game after all so it's a little hard to fault them for that.

A very different setting, you are a Chinese Canadian Investigator, in a cyber-punk future, in a city that is based on the greatest city in Canada "Toronto" (to be fair I am biased since I live here and I love this city lol)

The bulk of the game involves you interacting with your computer, looking around your house and out of the window using binoculars, using these you are somehow supposed to find your missing daughter in a city under lockdown. So many of the puzzles had me thinking outside the box, and I slapped myself a few times when I used the well made "Hint System" (all good puzzle games need an optional hint system!), only to realise how simple the solution actually was. I have never played a game where you solve puzzles by zooming in with your binoculars at the right spot.

So both in originality and gameplay (assuming you like puzzle games) departments, it does well.

How about the story then? Well I wouldn't call it "mind-blowing", and later in the game it randomly introduces concepts from Buddhism, however it was interesting enough to keep me going.

I definitely recommend this game if you are looking of a decent puzzle game, and I am looking forward to what the developer makes next, that being said the almost 20$ CDN price tag is a big high for this 3-4 hour (depending on how good you are at puzzles) game, I would wait to grab it on sale for 10$ CDN at most.

Keyword is a mystery with hacking puzzles game, similiar to Cyber Manhunt and Song of Farca. Keyword is all about to find where Sala is after she disappeared. You need to use hacking to enter in emails and other stuff to find information, using binoculars to spy on apartments to find clues and use drones to deliver food or weapons to you or other people. The game offers 3 endings.
If you played and enjoyed Cyber Manhunt and Song of Farca then you gonna enjoy Keyword.

Amazing game! Definitely requires you to think outside the box for a few of the puzzles! I fully recommend this to anyone who loves puzzle games! (or just want to try something different!)

What a great mystery game that has some, hmmm...interesting twists along the way!

I really appreciate a thorough detective game that gives you the keys to the car, offers to help ONLY if you really need it, but otherwise lets you drive.

The use of a digital notepad is a brilliant stroke, and one I've only seen in a single other mystery game. I think that this should have become standardized by now, and I hope more games learn to adopt this very simple but amazingly affective tool. Not only did it help me to remember little details, but what puts you more in the shoes of a detective than jotting down notes that may or may not be relevant to your case?!

I won't spoil more of the "out there" aspects. I will just finish up by saying you should play this if you want a moderately puzzled game with some fun mechanics.

That's pretty much it. Solid plot, some very inventive mechanics, and lots of brain work that will make you feel smart. A well built hint system for when you get stuck (and I did get stuck).

Once I started playing this I was riveted to my chair for the full 4 hours.

The game is not utterly without flaw, but the creativity of design and emotionality of story make any missteps not worth mentioning.

$17 seems like a lot for a 4 hour game but I think it's worth it. Of course it does go on sale sometimes, so maybe watch for that.

At least try the demo (which is about the first hour of the game) - I bet you'll be hooked.

What a fantastic spin on detective/investigation games. You play as a private investigator rapped in his apartment, and his daughter has been kidnapped. You use your computer and collect information from outside your window to gather clues, digging into a very intriguing plot that has a lot of cool twists and turns. The puzzles are very logical and there's a very well made hint system that nudges you just in the right direction without completely giving puzzles away.

Overall a great game, very fun

Dark and tense. The problem-solving is super fun. I love the Buddha scene and the amazing moment when a crack ho machine-guns your apartment. Like many Chinese mystery games, this strategically blurs the line between dream and reality. Was Buddha real? Was the crack ho? Who sells mail-order sniper rifles for $200? Why is the Toronto police department announcing curfews in Mandarin?

My only complaint, 30+ minutes of the game are finding details which should be trivial like your address and your neighbor's name. Still, it's a great private investigator story and very creative.
