But the money making for me its mushrooms 100%, easy money. I just raise crops for cooking and some little extra money.
As for qualities seed maker for crops is only worth it the big one. That you get at lvl 10 of Fieldwork.
But for mushrooms i use 3 small spores makers and one big i got from lvl 10, i have lvl 10 spores always. The best mushroom is the Matsutake (unlock from selling the mushroom you find in the secret area that becomes available at the lvl 9 logging skill) and second best the Coral Mushroom. You can have a maximum of only 20 stumps in the farm (20 things that you put and raise the spores)
TLDR: the best crops purely for money are the ones that regrow. Cucumbers, Sweet Potatoes, Broccoli, etc. Or crops that have lots of yields like leeks.
Although if you want money, you're doing it wrong. Get 20 mushroom logs & beehives once you fix the broken ones on the farms. Pretty much an easy 400k to 500k gold every 4 days.
Honestly, Beehives suck. Too much work. Mushroom logs are OP, because they work year round. You can easily do a setup and make 1M every 4 days, just annoying as ♥♥♥♥ and money doesn't have any practical use, unless you want to buy Orichalcum Ore for 50k a pop.
