Thank you for joining us for the launch of STORY OF SEASONS: Pioneers of Olive Town! Your grandfather's farm is a little overgrown, but I'm sure you'll be able to tame it in no time!!

I wanted to make a central bug thread so you guys know what we're working on and what information we need when you email us about any game bugs you encounter. I'll be trying to scour the threads for new issues, but if a bug is not up here already please post it in this thread so it'll be easy for me to find. We'd like to keep this thread focused on addressing gameplay issues, so for any questions or comments on other topics, please email [e-mail].

Useful debug information:

  It would be from "STORY OF SEASONS Pioneers of Olive Town.exe"

Please email [e-mail] with these details if you are experiencing issues with the game.

Here are some tips to make sure you're getting the best performance out of your PC!

• Make sure your graphics card is being fully utilized:
  
  • Stay updated with relevant drivers from your card manufacturer's website
    
  • Make sure you are using your main graphics card. Different graphics card manufacturers will have guides on how to always use your dedicated card.
• Add STORY OF SEASONS: Pioneers of Olive Town to the exceptions of any antivirus program:
  
  • "STORY OF SEASONS Pioneers of Olive Town.exe" is the executable file you need to add.
• Turn off any power saving mode your computer might be using:
  
  • Go to Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options
    
  • Balanced or High Performance profiles should be chosen. Any Power Saving mode will lower game performance.
    
  • If you are using a laptop, make sure it has sufficient charge or it may automatically go into a power saving mode.
• Make sure your PC has the latest Windows Update installed.

Some outfits were not appearing for users initially. If you are still experiencing issues with the following outfits, please logout and restart your Steam client:

• Pete and Claire's Overalls
  
• Yuto and Naomi's Hoodies
  
• Henry and Holly's Western Attire
  
• Buffalo Costume
  
• Fox Costume

my bug is that i cant harvest my eggs or it shows me harvesting the egg but after it finishes the animation the option to harvest the egg will pop up and also it will not allow you to move through the spot the egg was. also nearby harvestables do the same thing as the egg.

honestly... 2 months since I sent a mail to the support and they haven't even responded. Not even to give news about when they would fix the problems in the game after this last update... I'm trully upset. For a person who bought the game to play and simply can't anymore. I am pretty disappointed on this...

Hello, I am writing with a translator system. I don't know if I'm right here. When I try to cook and have the ingredients selected, the image freezes and won't advance. The same happens when I want to make perfume. What can I do?

running into an annoying bug where if I have tools on the hotbar and want to use a tool it switches to another tool and won't stop doing that until I either save and quit or only have 1 tool on the hotbar

Dear Devs,

your Game needs really an Bug fix Update. An Friend of mine who purchased your Game + Game Pass DLC has an Problem with an Magicial Flower. Its the Blue one its usually always there, but for a few Weeks now it happens that this Flower just vanishes after a few ingame Days. The Flower doesn,t come back in any way, its just gone and you can,t do a thing. Sadly you need the Flower to produce important Items to sell or to give as an present. If you want to fix this Bug for a short temporarily Time, you need to uninstall the whole Game and install it again, than its gone for a short time. Sadly this bug comes really fast back.. Pls fix it its really frustrating for my friend. Btw, some Farm Animals startet glitching through their Barns...i,m pretty sure, they shouldn,t do this ;). The last one is da Graphical fix about a few Characters. Like the Family on the Beach in the City. The Father, the Son and his best Friend who lives with them have a few shades darker Skin, but in a few party the Color comes out almost yellow and it looks really weird and not right =/. Can you pls do something about it?.

As you see, the Game need a really big bug fix!! It would be great if you would update the Game soon with those fixes ^^. Thanks in advance :D

The developers should honestly be embarrassed, this is shameful. I have to save my game before entering and exiting any building because it crashes/freezes so often. If I don't, I have to repeat a day 3 to 4 times just to get from sunrise to sunset without a crash. I spent so long trying to progress and making different saves and characters that I surpassed the two hour refund window, so I'm left with a barely functional product. Probably gonna leave a review too, this is unbelievable.

Hey devs, y'all do realize that this black screen bug is actually a game breaking bug, right?

It's NOT a "Oh just restart the game and it's fixed the black screen goes away". They cannot continue the game when they have this black screen issue.

Again, it's a g-a-m-e b-r-e-a-k-i-n-g b-u-g.

Thought I would slowly spell it out for y'all since you seem to have trouble understanding that it's a GAME BREAKING bug and not a temporary bug.

It's fairly clear from this thread that the devs have basically abandoned this game. They're unconcerned with addressing multiple problems, don't respond to emails, and are clearly making less than no effort to do anything about this. Going to apply for a refund because this was very clearly a waste of money.

Is there bug fix for the missing fishing pole and unable to dismount the horse? I couldn't find the pole after I received it, but yet I upgraded thinking it might show up in my bag, it's still not there. I stay away from the horse as once I get on it I have to force shut down to get off it. I know this is a problem as I have seen the same questions from other players.

Aside from the known bug with harvesting items not working properly (having to try picking up eggs, wild plants and anything I grow on my fields several times), I noticed that the Steam achievement for cooking up a lv 10 dish didn't trigger.

On Spring 22 Year 1, when I leave my house it goes to loading page, shows me outside my house for about a second, and then goes back to the loading infinitely. Any tips or work arounds?

I am having a massive issue with the DLC and the game in general. I'm currently on Linux Kubuntu 22.04 and run the game through proton. I have to install dependencies through proton tricks to even get the game running, and once that happens, all the DLC I own, while it says it's downloaded and installed, does not show up on the DLC page in game. I'm not wholly upset about some of the characters, but some of the clothing I'd very much like to be able to use.
Edit: I've installed the game on Windows before I switched to Linux, and I was able to download and enable the DLC. I've even installed a VirtualMachine with Windows on it, installed the game and ran it, with the DLC showing up in the menu.
