Weird Windows Narrator Bug

Hi

For some reason, Windows Narrator automatically runs on the game at all times. It didn't happen before, and it doesn't happen with Milk outside a bag of milk, only with this one. Anyone else with this issue or any idea how to fix it? Already turned off narrator, etc.

attached video of the issue - nothing weird on task manager, but sound mixer shows a "microsoft windows based script host" up everytime the narrator starts speaking. Thought it might be a virus, but already ran Windows scan and nothing weird was found :/

It's happening on a Windows 11 computer of mine, not on the Win 10 one though. Both have the latest versions of the game, it's a strange issue. I'm getting a female narration voice in game but male in Windows. Sometimes it'll activate Windows narration, other times not.

Same problem here, this bug is really weird

I open game ---> that female narrator starts speaking ---> I close the game and check file integrity ---> it says that there are 118 files not validated ---> steam downloads them ---> open the game again ---> female narrator starts speaking again ---> checking file integrity shows again 118 files not validated

I even tried downloading the game through other means but still the same female narrator

Hi I think I found the only fix for it now, You need to open volume mixer on windows and when the narrator is talking simply mute the narrator, narrator app should be called "Microsoft windows based...." something like that

Press V during loading screen when prompt for volume comes up.

same bug, no fix working for me
my narrator is also in german so it cant even pronounce a single thing right, ruins the entire experience

I tried validating the files and it didn't work but I ended up fixing the issue by uninstalling and reinstalling the game

Open the game in windowed. Open the sound mixer. Go to the game and make the narrator say a long line, quickly go to the sound mixer and find the entity that is making that sound and mute it.

I have the same problem! The strange thing is that I played it the first time and everything was normal, but when I decided to play it a second time, the Windows narrator was activated.

Here is how you really disable the narrator voice in game.
When the game starts and you're at the screen where you click okay do this:
Click the "A" key on your keyboard, then press "V" to enabe/disable the narrator voice.
You need to press "A" again to get the white screen gone.
Worked for me
Also dont press "S" it will get you an error message, idk why but it happens to me everytime.

We got a case of win 10 here (me)
