"I Was Born To Die" achievement

Hello,

I have a problem with "I Was Born To Die" achievement. I got stuck on 250 deaths, and it stopped counting my deaths after, and I don't know what to do next. However, 0.9% of all players got this achievement, and it got me wondering if it's possible to do it.

Ok i got the achievement. It was stuck at 250 for a long time but when i completed everything else it was at 258, so there is a bug. Then i did the last stage on custom to die over and over again and it worked fine. We dont even have to complete the stage, just go back to hideout and we still got our death count.

So, the deaths after epiloge do not count, right?

Not sure, maybe they do but it wont show that it does.

May i ask where you are looking at?

The Steam page where your achievements show? Or ingame at "Progression"? Because at the steam page it still shows 250/500 with me even when i have the achievement, but ingame in progression it shows i do have it.

Yeah, you better check your death count, In Game. Literally got this achievement yesterday. So, my death count in Steam was 250/500, however, in game statistics told me, that I have around 305 deaths.
I'm pretty sure, that steam rounds up the achievement goal.

In game counter and steam counter are both stuck at 250 for me.

Please just fix it and make it retroactive somehow (might not be possible if the counter is broken though)

There is a bug with the Steam 250/500 achi and the in game death counter. If you manage to get for example 359/500 deaths in game and you EXIT, Steam achievement WILL NOT add it and it will be set back to 250/500 both on Steam and in game. If you want to get the achievement you HAVE TO do the rest of the achievement IN ONE GO. For me, the best level for it was level 29: 'Suburbs' boss fight. You can go to the hideout to check your progress but DO NOT EXIT the game.

If you're available, would you mind elaborating? I'm stuck at 250/500 as listed by Steam, but have 509 deaths on realistic difficulty (lower numbers on custom, normal, and hard, but they add up to somewhere around 800). Is your suggestion that I go into a level, die 250 times before finishing the level, and then it (may) pop? Thanks in advance for any helpful info!
